Second I'm A Celebrity campmate touches down in Australia after Nigel Farage

Nella Rose is the second star to have landed at Brisbane airport to take part in this year's I'm A Celebrity.... Get Me Out Of Here!

Presenter and influencer Nella touched down and beamed for the cameras as she made her way through arrivals at the Aussie airport today. Nella kept tight-lipped on her jungle stint while she was snapped by awaiting cameras, hours after former UKIP leader Nigel Farage was snapped at the airport.

The 26-year-old arrived on Sunday evening local time and posed for photographs wearing sunglasses before heading to her hotel on the Gold Coast with a chaperone from ITV.

She joked: "I am here for a holiday," before getting into a car, where she will likely be taken to her accommodation before calling the gruelling jungle camp home for the next few weeks.

But, she almost left the airport without her luggage as her driver then attempted to pull away with the boot open and her luggage outside but she screamed for him to stop and thankfully he obliged.

Asked if she had been camping before, she said: "I don't know what you mean, what's camping?" And, when told it had been raining, she said: "That's cool I came for the rain."

Asked if she would be scared of things like spiders and snakes, she replied: "I just want to get to my car. Thank you so much."

Nella has a huge following online as she boasts 908,000 Instagram followers as well as 791,000 subscribers on YouTube and regularly rubs shoulders with a number of big influencers and stars including Yung Filly, Chunkz and Stormzy. And bosses on the ITV show are said to be hoping her appearance will rake in a much younger audience.

She joins disgraced former MP Farage in the line-up for this year's show, fronted by Ant and Dec. The former right-wing party leader was chatty with journalists as he navigated through Brisbane Airport arrivals this morning – but kept coy about his reasons for being in Australia.

He said: "I'm just here surfing for the week," as he was quizzed by journalists while walking through the airport. Mr Farage was pictured wearing a bright blue shirt and a contrasting pink patterned blazer along with a pair of beige trousers and held a black bag as he greeted those waiting for him at arrivals.

However, the former MP did reveal he went tee-total for a week before heading to the jungle but confessed he may have given into a cheeky drink on the plane over. Speaking at the airport, he added: "I can't confirm I am doing it but I might be. I just think there is a big young audience out there that watches the programme which is worth talking to.

"I have been messing about on Tik Tok for the last few months and you would be surprised, a lot of young people out there are interested in what I have got to say."

The Mirror also revealed how Britney Spears' sister Jamie Lynn, 32, has signed up for the show and other names thought to be on the list include jockey Frankie Dettori, 52, boxer Tony Bellew, food critic Grace Dent, 50, and TikTok star Nella Rose, 26.

The contestants are all taken to separate hotels and apartments on the Gold Coast with chaperones so they stay apart and will then all meet up at the same time at the end of the week once they have all arrived. They will then head into the jungle camp but not before first taking on some challenges.

Executive producer Olly Nash said: "Every year we try to bring new elements into the show, it could be, new trials, new challenges, new areas of camp etc. I can tell you that our launch show this year will have some exciting new elements which we hope viewers will really enjoy...I’m not so sure the celebrities will though!"

Bosses will be bringing back the dreaded Walk The Plank entry challenge but appear to have made the trial even harder.

The crew have been trialling the brand new version on top of the Focus Building in Surfers Paradise which involves crawling rather than walking 100 metres up in the air.

During rehearsals this week some ‘Guinea pig’ campmates could be seen clinging to a slippery metal pole on all fours as they attempted to edge along the length out into thin air to retrieve a star.

If they are filming in the rain or strong winds, it means one slip on the pole could see a celebrity fall off the sky-high game and be left dangling in the air.

Last year in a Walk The Plank challenge Babatúndé Aléshé left Charlene White waiting on her plank for 45 minutes before he quit the challenge because he was shaking so much with nerves.

I'm A Celebrity starts on ITV on Sunday November 19 at 9pm.
