Gogglebox family respond as fan share concerns over missing star
The Siddiqui family has responded as Channel 4 Gogglebox fans were worried as a star was missing from the show.
Fans were left confused as the Derbyshire family seemed to be missing one of the members this week. Sid, Baasit, Raza and Umar regularly feature on the Channel 4 series but father Sid was noticeably absent from Friday’s episode (November 10).
No explanation was given to viewers, causing them to worry as to what may have happened. Fans took to social media to voice their concerns, with one saying: "Where is Mr Siddiqui???"
As a second wrote: "Where's daddy Siddiqui on #Gogglebox?," and a third added: "Missing Sid Siddiqui this week but love seeing the bros together #Gogglebox." But viewers didn't need to stress as the three brothers soon made light of why their dad wasn't the couch with them for this week's episode.
The four are a Gogglebox staple (Derby Telegraph)The three of them were watching a scene from TV crime drama, Culprits, which follows some gangsters commit a series of crimes and evade police. One of the brothers commented on their dad's absence, joking that he could be a secret criminal himself.

Talking about the programme, they said: "Do you know anyone who has just like appeared out of nowhere near like yeah he’s got to be a gangster or an assassin. They’ve got a vibe innit?" One of the other brothers then jokingly responded: "Where is dad anyway?", as they all start laughing.
The family recently celebrated being on the popular for a decade. Away from the programme, the four of them seem to live relatively normal lives.
Retired patriarch Sid is popular on TikTok and spends a lot of time with his grandchildren while his sons Raza, Umar and Baasit split their time between family and work. Raza works in hospitality management, while Umar is a microbiologist and Baasit an IT teacher.
Speaking of reaching the impressive milestone of a decade on the show together, Sid said: "When it started, we didn’t think it would last even a year." The former engineer told Radio Times magazine. "It’s crept up on us as well. We’ve been doing this for 10 years. You know, you have to tell yourself to wake up and say it is weird!"
This comes as on Celebrity Gogglebox Jeff Brazier was left gobsmacked when his eldest son, Strictly Come Dancing hopeful Bobby Brazier, insulted his weight. The 44-year-old reality star was left unimpressed when 20-year-old Bobby mocked his weight while they were discussing borrowing each others’ clothes.
Jeff started talking to Bobby about objecting to the fact that both he and Freddy borrow his clothes. He huffed: "What is with you kids, why do you have to wear my pants? I never wear your pants, why would I wear your pants? For starters, they're too small."
Bobby hit back with a cheeky comment, telling his dad that he wouldn’t be able to wear his or Freddie's clothes because he was "too fat". A shocked Jeff replied: "You're not allowed to say that!" as Bobby simply asked back: "Why?"
