Coleen Rooney explains decision to forgive Wayne after cheating with prostitute
Coleen Rooney has explained why she forgave Wayne after cheating with a prostitute just months into their romance.
The WAG has opened up in her new memoir, My Account: The Official Autobiography, about her marriage to the former footballer and why she has forgiven him for cheating in the past. The pair first got together when they were just 16, with it being just months after that Wayne first cheated. It would take two years for the story to come out in the press when they were 18.
Speaking in her memoir, Coleen said: "Wayne admitted the story was true but told me some of it had been fabricated for effect. It had happened a couple of years before, but it probably wouldn't have been news if the story had come out then. Now, Wayne was on the England squad, playing for his country, so the story packed a punch."

I'd started going out with him that August and it happened over the Christmas period, a few months into our relationship. I'm not sure I'd say it was even a proper relationship at that stage – we were such babies. I certainly hadn't slept with him."
She went on to say that she turned to her Auntie Tracy and Uncle Shaun for advice. She added: "Once we were talking again, Tracy and Shaun suggested we experience some normality and get ourselves out the house for a bit. We ended up going for a bite to eat, and then walked around a few shops in Manchester where, thankfully, nobody spotted us.

"A few evenings later, we went to Blackpool Pleasure Beach, both wearing hats with our collars turned up. Again, we weren't recognised apart from a flicker from the odd passer-by. It was a calm and lovely evening and we were just a young couple at the seaside. Free to be ourselves and to talk honestly about our feelings."
Coleen went on: "He knew how bad this was, how wrong. He looked down at the floor as he told me how devastated he felt having put me in that situation. I was still fuming."
When the prostitute story broke in 2004, Wayne later issued an apology, saying: "Foolish as it now seems I did on occasions visit massage parlours and prostitutes. I now regret it deeply and hope people may understand that it was the sort of mistake you make when you are young and stupid. It was at a time when I was very young and immature."
Coleen's new memoir gives and insight into the behind the scenes of her marriage and family with Wayne as well as delving into the Wagatha Christine court case.
