Strictly's Bobby and Dianne react to judges' 'confusing' performance critique

Strictly Come Dancing star Bobby Brazier had his say on judge Craig Revel Horwood's critique, after comments about his latest performance on the BBC show.

His pro dance partner Dianne Buswell also reacted to the comments, before sharing the "confusion" they often face over feedback on the show. Dianne and Bobby pulled off an epic performance on Saturday night, which divided the judges

While Shirley Ballas heaped praise on the duo and Bobby's skill, Craig and fellow judge Anton Du Beke both shared their disapproval of parts of the performance. On the night, Craig had told Bobby: "I thought it was too aggressive and there wasn't enough air or breathing in it. I didn't feel like you were leading, you were placing everything.

"This dance is about cause and effect, you create what the girl does or whoever your partner is, you create that. I felt like it was simply choreographed rather than being danced together."

The crowd booed Craig for his comments, while Anton also said it looked too rehearsed and "needed to be a little bit messy". Asked about the comments on It Takes Two on Wednesday, Bobby admitted he got where Craig was coming from with some of his feedback.

That said, Dianne and Bobby both shared it could be "confusing" at times with different feedback from all four judges, even more so when the comments and the scores did not match. Speaking to host Janette Manrara, Bobby said: "I think I can agree to be fair.

"When you breathe a breath into a dance it gives it... a presence or a flow that otherwise isn't there." Janette then asked about the mixed comments, with Dianne adding: "It is so subjective. As the professional, we are always trying to help the celebrity in any way we can.

"So taking the judges' comments onboard, I always do but when there are so many different comments I don't know which way to go. Sometimes it can be confusing for the celebrity. I guess we just take a little bit from all of them."

She added: "I think comments wise it wasn't too bad, we can just take it on board. The thing is sometimes when the scoring can get a little bit disheartening."
