Married At First Sight fans were frustrated watching the final commitment ceremony as most couples chose to 'stay' in their marriages despite crumbling relationships.

On Tuesday night, viewers watched the contestants discuss the difficulties of Homestay Week as many couples realised they struggled to work in the real world. Laura and Arthur quarrelled after her friends criticised him and he stood up for himself and left the table.

Peggy's mother and father weren't big fans of her husband Georges, a relationship she struggled with since the beginning, and urged her to leave. She struggled with their comments as her family 'are her priority' but ultimately chose to stay with Georges, surprising viewers at home.

Paul and Tasha, who had many disagreements during their Homestay Week about living arrangements and their future, also chose to stay together despite many issues over the last few episodes. Ella and JJ, who had a major fallout because of her insecurities over their relationship, also wanted to fight for their relationship.

Viewers weren't convinced by the contestants' decisions and questioned their true intentions as they rushed to social media to claim the stars were choosing fame as fans discussed the 'toxic marriages'. One user said: "Sod this, they're all staying for TV views, I'd rather watch #BangedUp on #C4, bit more truth, honesty and reality from the crims on there."

"So basically all the couples are going to do dramatics but still stay in their toxic marriages?" one user said as they added a gid of a woman looking fed up. Another fan commented: "Can’t be arsed for MAFS anymore. Everybody’s just fame hungry and gagging to be an influencer. Nobody is actually taking it seriously."

"I think some of these people haven't come on for the right reasons and have ended up hurting the ones that have," one annoyed user added while another discussed typical 'TV talk'. They wrote: "Most of this is just contrived TV talk. Especially Georges and Peggy. He's too confident to put up with that shit. It's all about getting people to talk about them to highlight their TV profile. And it's working."

The only couple who chose to leave were Thomas and Rozz, who spent a lot of time and effort to form a deeper connection despite a rough start. They fell for each other over the weeks in the experiment but things turned sour during Homestay Week when Rozz realised their relationship wouldn't work in the real world.

She shocked fellow contestants when she admitted she wanted children but not with Thomas. Speaking to the camera, a teary-eyed Thomas said he was "heartbroken" as he fell for her and wanted to fight for their relationship.

Married At First Sight next airs on Wednesday on E4 at 9pm*
