Neighbour leaves desperate note on car windscreen begging driver to 'stop'
A self-professed 'passive aggressive note enthusiast' was left gobsmacked after spotting a seriously savage note attached to a car windscreen.
They took to Reddit to share the lengthy and angry message, which had been taped down firmly on the window with Sellotape, warning the driver not to park in their usual spot.
The furious neighbour, who says they struggled to get his 'car out' for a week, finally took matters into their own hands and complained the driver's parking position restricted their ability to move their car out of their driveway. The livid neighbour blasted the unnamed driver's parking as 'anti-social and thoughtless', and making their thoughts on the matter crystal clear, the neighbour begged them to 'please stop'.
Sharing a picture of the message to Reddit, the amused onlooker described it as a 'real treat, remarking, "When your neighbour parks 20cm into the ramp to your drive". The note, which they'd spotted during a walk, read as follows: "Your parking is anti-social and thoughtless. Your car is too long to park here legally.
The neighbour left a desperate note on car windscreen begging a driver to 'stop' in parking row (Reddit)"The amount this vehicle had blocked the driveway meant that if someone legally parked on the other side, the driveway would be inaccessible." Other Reddit users were left equally enthralled by the neighbourhood drama, with one person writing: "Cars make people turn into mindless, tribalistic animals."
'I don't want children staying up late at weekends - I really need adult time'
Another commented: "They couldn't get their car off the drive for a week and they're only writing a polite note about it now?! I wish I had their level of patience. I’d have done something stupid and regrettable in the first 10 minutes."
One user advised the driver on how to deal with the situation, writing: "Just leave the note on there for months and drive around with it on, that’ll drive them even more mental." A second person chimed in: "I mean the car is parked. Would you expect someone to wait around all day until the owner got back? I suspect if the note writer was there when the person parking it was they would have said something directly to them."
However, others believed the neighbour had a right to complain about the issue. They said: "While the note is peak-idiot, the complaint is legit. People really don’t seem to account for turning circles for drives and I’ve seen many, many examples where people have gone ‘just a bit over the drop kerb’ and in doing so rendered the drive unusable."
