Meghan and Harry's marriage will last 'years not decades', expert claims

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's marriage will be measured in "years not decades" according to one Royal expert.

Canadian journalist Graydon Carter, the ex-editor of society magazine Vanity Fair, has shared his opinion on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s future. He suggested that Meghan, 42, has taken advantage of her blue-blooded husband, and has used him as a stepping stone to power and wealth.

He said: “I would measure the duration of the marriage in years rather than decades. I think she has run rings around poor Harry and gotten what she wanted: notoriety, money, and a title. His usefulness to her diminishes daily.”

He also added that he thinks it is unlikely Meghan will ever return to acting, instead predicting a reality TV career. “If there is a Real Housewives of Montecito show in the works, she’d be a shoo-in,” he told The Times

Carter's comments come days after Phil Dampier, who has covered the Royal family for over thirty years, told GB News that he believes Harry, 39, is lonely, and it might be part of a larger plan by his wife.

He said: "I'm told on good authority that he's quite lonely. He's quite isolated in California. Maybe that's part of Meghan's plan to isolate him from his friends as well as his family. I just don't feel that he's got a group of mates to go out and have a few beers with and unwind and relax, and talk about matey men things that we all like to do down the pub."

The couple married in 2018, with their celebrity pals Idris Elba and Victoria Beckham in attendance. In 2020, they made the shocking move to leave their royal duties behind and move out of the UK, eventually settling down in Montecito, California where they live with their two kids, Archie, four and Lilibet, two.
