Strictly bosses 'crack down' on mole as spoiler account unable to leak results
A Strictly Come Dancing spoiler account has been forced to stop leaking results after bosses "cracked down" on the inside mole.
Fans of the BBC flagship show will know that each week a Strictly insider leaks the result of the dance-off hours before it airs on BBC One. Last month, BBC bosses launched an investigation into the mystery mole after the Strictly pairings were leaked before the pre-recorded launch show aired.
This weekend, the Strictly spoiler account took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to reveal that they were unable to leak the results this week. They wrote: "Strictly Spoiler update I’ve no mole this week and other reliable sources seem to be struggling too.
"However those of you around in the pandemic will know that no moles doesn’t equal no spoiler. It does mean it might be in the morning though."
Reacting to the news, one fan tweeted: "Why is it this week you have no moles weird." And another posted: "I wish you'd posted this earlier so I didn't stay up."

A source said: "Enough is enough, it isn't fair on the fans, they look forward to tuning in to see who will be dancing together."
"Now procedures are being put in place to see if the mole can be caught though it's tricky because there are so many people involved with Strictly but the bosses are determined to nail he or she," rhe TV insider continued to the Daily Mail.

Strictly is filmed in its entirety on a Saturday evening, but the results show is produced as if its filmed the following day in line with its scheduled slot on Sunday. Hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman as well as the judges Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse and Anton Du Beke all change their outfits and reference "last night" when speaking about the dances.
However, as the results show is filmed straight after the live show on a Saturday, an anonymous insider has been able to leak the results. The show's audience is made up of friends and family of those taking part as well as members of the public, with all audience members having their phones removed during filming.
Strictly Come Dancing continues every Saturday with the results show airing on Sunday on BBC One.
