Loose Women viewers were left scratching their heads after the panelists transformed into spooky characters to get in the mood for Halloween.

Kaye Adams was joined by Olivia Attwood, Nadia Sawalha and Jane Moore for the show's frightful special which was re-branded Loose Witches – and their costumes didn't disappoint. Kaye, 60, got into character as Winifred Sanderson from Disney's Hocus Pocus, while former Love Islander Olivia grabbed the chance to take on the role of the Ice Queen.

Nadia embodied the Grand High Witch from Roald Dahl's The Witches, while Jane Moore became The Wicked Witch of the West from The Wizard of Oz. But many of the show's viewers had trouble recognising the four women as they managed to pull off the perfect spook-filled show.

Taking to twitter, one wrote: "Which loose woman is next to Kay I can’t tell who that is? Jane I only recognised from her voice." Another viewer shared: "I don't even know who the person next to Kay is? Thought it was Posh Spice for a moment!"

Olivia was left screaming and admitting to being totally 'freaked out,' as she and her co-stars were the target of a prank from the show's producers. The Loose Women team decided to film themselves scaring the panellists backstage, by lying in wait in corridors and dressing rooms before shouting at them.

While the likes of Gloria Hunniford played along with it, Brenda Edwards was left fuming, before a clip of Olivia being surprised saw her jump back in horror, as she let out a scream and an expletive, that was bleeped in line with the Loose Women's daytime time slot. When cameras cut back to the studio, Kaye remarked: "You were proper freaked out there!"

Olivia replied: "I'm laughing, but it's really not OK. I don't like being crept up or made to jump. I'd say I'm quite a nervous person anyway, I don't need the extra." Kaye then quipped: "Think of those endorphins baby," prompting Olivia to retort: "No, I've got enough."

The Loose Women panellists weren't the only ones getting into the Halloween spirit as This Morning hosts Rylan Clark and Josie Gibson also pulled out all the stops for the occasion. Big Brother winner Josie ditched her blonde locks in favour of a brunette wig and opted for a lace dress.

The witch inspired outfit featured a black corset and she added a black top hat adorned with red roses to complete the spooky look. Meanwhile Rylan, 35, channelled his inner vampire, covering his eyes in dark makeup. The X Factor star wore a velvet black shirt and a satin waistcoat which boasted a spider brooch. Kicking off the show, the pair were quick to comment on their new looks.

Rylan said: "As you can see, we are channelling our inner goths today." He then turned to co-presenter Josie and said: "I think you look stunning, genuinely."
