BBC presenter's bag stolen live on air as viewers praise star's reaction
BBC viewers were left baffled during a report on Monday night as a journalist's bag was stolen by a passerby live on air as reporter Harry Low was sharing details of Storm Ciaran.
The journalist was reporting from Mortlake in Richmond on Storm Ciaran and the impact it had left on the local community after severe flooding and winds. While many BBC viewers didn't even notice the robbery while watching the report, Mr Low later took to X, formerly known as Twitter to joke about his bag being stolen while he was reporting live for the BBC.
Posting the clip to his account, Mr Low wrote: "A career first last night - my bag was stolen halfway through our live." Despite the fact that a number of viewers did notice something had gone awry, most were left stunned by Mr Low's professionalism as they insisted they never would have guessed the incident had occurred as he continued on with the report as if nothing had happened.

We are seeing vehicle recovery trucks going back and forth and there is a lot of mud on the ground. The Environment Agency has issued a flood alert along the Thames that stretches from Putney Bridge down towards Hampton and Thames Ditton and that's to warn of flooding and to avoid low lying footpaths."
Viewers watched as the camera then panned back to Mr Low, who appeared to be confused and remained silent for several seconds before snapping back to professionalism and continuing on with his report. After the pause, the BBC journalist said: "Storm Ciaran on the way. From 6pm on Wednesday there is a yellow weather warning in place."

"What is wrong with people!!!! Hope you get it back," another echoed. While someone else said: "Can't believe this happened live on air."
