Haunting images show inside mystery abandoned house stacked with poison
An urban explorer discovered an abandoned house hiding stacks of poison, marked with warnings from police long ago.
The home is believed to have been left suddenly midway through the last century and boasts a vintage television, decaying furniture and disintegrating mattresses. But catching the eye was an antique green bottle labelled poison littered throughout the home. A sign on the window warns police are aware of the danger, however it is unknown if the owners ever planned to return, or what they had planned to do with the bottles which earned the home the nickname Poison House.

The living room inside the creepy home (mediadrumimages/@TheDerelictQueen)Urban explorer Daniela Zero, also known as The Derelict Queen explored the abandoned home in Derby UK for about an hour. The 26-year-old said: “Going inside this house made me feel like I had physically gone back in time, witnessing the last moment these people were here.
"The outside was overgrown with slight damage from nature taking back. The inside is almost immaculate as there is no graffiti and the house had not been targeted by metal thieves.The furniture has begun to decay, the mattresses have disintegrated into just fabric, the chairs were sunken and the dressing table was undisturbed with its brush and hat in place. There were slippers in front of the sofa in prime position for the TV. This place you can see it was a home not just a house.

It shows the last moments this home was a home. They did not know it would be the last time they woke up here, or the last time they used their oven or the last time they hugged their loved one in this building.It reminds you of your mortality, how just one day it would be your last. There is something about these places that is sad but the imprint these people made on their homes show our personality in ways words cannot.”

She added: “The property door is left open which I accessed by climbing through the overgrown garden and a second entry point was an open window. I am not a climber, so I opted to battle the brambles to the door. I feel lucky because the photos cannot replicate the feeling of being in this location. People have been shocked this place was just left, particularly as it is a part of Derby and slowly disappearing as nature takes it back. Some people have compared it to a museum."
