Britney Spears' ex Justin Timberlake is a 'piece of s***' says first boyfriend

Britney Spears' apparent ex-partner Donald 'Reg' Jones has suggested that Justin Timberlake is "a piece of s***" following references to the latter in her new memoir.

The Woman in Me - which was released earlier this week - includes mention of Justin, 42, who had once been in a relationship with Britney, now 41, from around 1999 to 2002. She made a series of claims about him in the book.

This included her saying that she had an abortion during their relationship. She claims that Justin said they "weren't ready" to be parents and were "too young," with Britney suggesting in a chapter of her memoir that she wouldn't have gone through with it had been "left up to [her] alone".

Following the reference in the book, Britney's apparent ex-partner Reg, now 45 - whom she reportedly dated from 1996 to 1998, whilst she was in high school in McComb, Missouri - spoke to the New York Post about singer Justin.

He said: "Any man that is gonna ask a woman to have an abortion? Then he is a piece of s*** in my book." He's said to have advised Justin - who's understood to have turned off comments on his Instagram page - to "f***in' man up!"

Reg also said that when he knew her, Britney had wanted to "be normal and live a normal life," rather than pursue a career in Hollywood. Discussing her life, he added: "Look at the road it took her down. My heart goes out to her."

The Woman in Me was released earlier this week following much anticipation over the memoir. The title is understood to reference a lyric from one of her songs, having featured in I'm Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman. Britney seemed to hint at the meaning behind the choice in the book itself.

Justin - best known as a member of *NSYNC - isn't the only celebrity mentioned in the memoir. A host of others are referenced in the book, including Christina Aguilera, who had appeared alongside Britney and Justin on Disney Channel variety show the All-New Mickey Mouse Club.

A synopsis for it teases: "Written with remarkable candor and humor, Spears' groundbreaking book illuminates the enduring power of music and love - and the importance of a woman telling her own story, on her own terms, at last."
