Chloe Madeley and James Haskell have confirmed the end of their marriage after weeks of speculation.

The daughter of Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan has issued a statement confirmed she parted ways with James at the end of September, after being snapped without her wedding ring on her left hand over the past few weeks. James confessed he was feeling "a lot of sadness" as he shared the same statement with his fans shortly after Chloe.

Both Chloe and James, who share daughter Bodhi together, have ditched their wedding rings recently and sparked split speculation, with eyebrows raised when I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! star James cosied up to a blonde woman earlier this month, who turned out to be a PR advisor.

Speaking in her statement, Chloe explained how she hadn't planned to announce her separation from James - especially not while her family-focussed reality TV show is currently airing - but speculation about the state of their relationship has forced them to go public with their split.

Chloe Madeley: A Family Affair is a four-part ITV reality TV series that follows James and Chloe's life as first-time parents, with cameos from Chloe's famous mum and dad, and is set to premiere on Monday. Chloe and James have both been promoting their debut series together over recent weeks.

Chloe's statement shared this evening reads: "James and I mutually decided separate at the end of September, 2023. We had not planned on releasing a statement at this time - certainly not while the television show was airing - but constant speculation about our marriage has, unfortunately, forced our hand. Beyond this statement, we will not be speaking about this matter publicly, and we would request privacy at this time. Our sole focus now is our beautiful daughter. We shall continue to co-parent with nothing but love."

James later went on to share the same statement on his Instagram page, captioning a screenshot of the statement: "It's with a lot of sadness I write this post, but unfortunately, in the world we live in, it has to be done. My priority is my daughter’s and Chloe’s happiness and security. For that reason, I won't be commenting any further."

Earlier this month, James was spotted without his wedding ring on - just days after Chloe was seen without her wedding band on a girls night out. It came just days on from James, 38, being snapped mystery blonde woman on a night out at the celebrity hotspot Chiltern Firehouse. The identity of the blonde woman was later reported to be Martine Bridge, a PR executive who James is said to have known for years.

James and Chloe tied the know in 2018 and welcomed daughter Bodhi into the world in August 2022. "We are delighted to welcome to the world our daughter. We are utterly besotted and beaming with pride," Chloe told fans as she introduced her newborn online last year. "Our baby girl was born Wednesday morning, 10/08/22, 8.36am."

The former couple experienced a two-year struggle to conceive a baby and were on the verge of considering IVF and adoption before unexpectedly falling pregnant at the end of 2021. Speaking during her pregnancy, Chloe admitted she didn't want to share too many snaps of her bump so not to trigger others going through a similar struggle.

"Well, I suppose there are a few reasons why I'm not solely or constantly posting about being pregnant..." Chloe explained during a Q&A on Instagram in March last year. "1. As wonderful as it is, there is actually a lot more to my life than the fact that I'm pregnant. Quite a lot more. I remember when I was trying, for 2 years, and it was hard watching everyone around me get pregnant." Chloe added that she never felt 'envious' about other people's pregnancies, just 'sad'.

Speaking in July, Chloe revealed how her refusal to legally change her surname following her wedding left her "traditional husband" furious. Admitting her upcoming ITV series Chloe Madeley: A Family Affair almost had a different name, the mum-of-one revealed all about her own name.

Chloe confessed her fly on the wall series was originally titled At Home With The Madeley’s before officially becoming Chloe Madeley: A Family Affair - with the star adding how she didn't want to give viewers the "very wrong, strong impression that this is a Richard and Judy reality show."

"I didn't want to tar them with that tacky brush. So I was like, You can't call it that. We changed the name of it. It's not fair on the audience. It's not fair on the family," Chloe continued while speaking to Johnny Seifert on Secure The Insecure Podcast. She added: "Also James is a Haskell, Bodhi is a Haskell, so it's not fair on them to call it At Home With The Madeleys. And James is mega traditional and he would have been, I mean, like his male ego would have been dented for life if we'd call that."

Reflecting further on her surname in July, Chloe admitted: "I never changed my name. And I always said, like, when I have to renew my passport, get new bank cards, I'll do it all then. But I'm not going through all the admin and hoopla before I absolutely have to. And James is like furious about it because like I say, he's really traditional. So if we if we start calling him a Madeley oh my God, there will be hell to pay."

Speaking prior to her split from James, Chloe continued : "I think it will happen. But also I'm not in any mad rush, you know, like me and James are married, I'm going to have to change over all my legal documents at some point. Like I a passport bank cards da da da. I'll do it when I have to. But yeah, I think for James, he very much wants to feel like I've taken on his name. Obviously Boadhi is a Haskell.

"He wants to feel like I've taken on his name and I'm proud of it and I wear it like a badge of honour. And there's an element of me that I really like being a maid lady like I wear. This is my badge of honour. So it feels it's quite bittersweet, you know, when I eventually go, I'm sure it will be lovely and we'll raise a glass of champagne. There's also like an element of sadness to it because I've always been a Madeley. Now my parents daughter. And that will be I think that'll be quite strange."
