Kim Kardashian backtracks after sparking outrage for single parent comments
Kim Kardashian faced backlash after an appearance on the Jay Sheety podcast for her comments about being a single mother and the struggles that come with that. Now, she's clearing the air on what she meant.
She said on the podcast: “I’d say parenting is the thing that has taught me the most about myself and it’s a really hard task when you have four kids and they all wanna be put to bed at the same time. I think it’s just those nights when you can’t divide yourself and you have to just work with what you have.”
Ever since her divorce from Kanye West, Kim has been a single mother, vocally sharing how that has affected herself and her family. However, the general public has found it difficult to sympathize with her position given her high social status and resources.

Instead, she explained on the show that it's about where she spends her time. Kim explained: “The struggles that my kids go through really have nothing to do with the amount of help that I have. Obviously having nannies and a chef to help cook is beyond helpful."

Kim said she wants to be able to give her children '90% of her time' and pleaded with other parents to recognize the similarities in what they're dealing with. She said in a confessional: “The one thing that everyone has in common is just the amount of time that we have and I’m raising four kids and I split my time between my work, my family, my four kids and I wanna make sure that my kids have 90% of that.”
