Britney Spears ' ex-husband Sam Asghari broke his silence on her explosive memoir The Woman In Me.
The 41-year-old pop icon is celebrating after the release of her memoir on Tuesday, and took to social media to reveal some exciting news, telling fans the book has already topped the bestseller list in the US. “It’s happening !!! My book is the highest selling celebrity memoir in history and it’s only day 1!!! Thank you to the fans who have been so supportive !!! Love you all !!! #TheWomanInMe @gallerybooks @simonandschuster,” Britney wrote on Instagram.
The Toxic hitmaker was delighted that her memoir is at the top of Amazon’s Best Sellers and Barnes and Noble’s Best Sellers list less than 24 hours after it hit shelves. In the memoir, Britney mentions her relationship wth estranged husband Sam, who she split from earlier this year, but reportedly scrabbled to add in a more content about her time with him.

She mentions her marriage in her memoir (PA)"I have an appreciation for how stable he is. I love that he doesn't even drink," she wrote before adding that he gave her the confidence to speak out against her conservatorship, which came to an end in 2021.

Britney told also told readers that she "knew" she wanted him in her life immediately, writing: "The chemistry with us in the beginning was insane. We couldn't keep our hands off each other."
In response to Britney's kind words about him, Sam told TMZ that he was "proud" of her and had read the book before its release, so felt no anxiety about it. He said: "I'm very proud of her and, you know, she put a lot of work to it, and it was very hard so I'm definitely excited and I'm extremely proud of her."
Sam and Britney first met in October of 2016 on the set of her music video. They made their relationship 'Instagram official' by January of 2017. After years of dating, Sam proposed to Britney in 2021.

In 2022, they held a private ceremony, where she reportedly did not invite her parents. Sam later shared a cute montage of moments with Britney and called her "the woman of his dreams".
Britney, and the burgeoning actor, 29, called time on their one-year marriage in August.
