Soap fans have long been gripped by the on-off relationship between EastEnders' Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) and Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean), with Sharon calling time on their tempestuous engagement this summer. Now things have taken a somewhat murkier turn, with Keanu craftily plotting against his ex as she prepares for a new life in Abu Dhabi.

Sharon was left distraught this week after Keanu approached her with some terrible news - their young son Albie had gone missing, vanishing from view during a trip to the park. While Sharon frets over a potential kidnap plot, viewers can't help but wonder whether this could be all part of Keanu's plot to seduce Sharon once again in a bid to get his name on Albie's birth certificate.

Away from the plans and schemes of Albert Square, actor Danny leads a very different life from his onscreen counterpart, having found love with a reality star girlfriend. He's also enjoyed plenty of success in his acting career, and eagle-eyed viewers may well remember him from a cult ITV sitcom.

Relationship with reality star girlfriend

Danny has found love with fellow TV star Maddi Faircloth, with the pair having reportedly been dating since 2021. Maddi works as a data analyst and artist and has also previously made an appearance on Channel 4's Shipmates, a reality show that saw her partake in pool parties during a luxurious Mediterranean cruise.

Rumours had been swirling around the budding romance for several months before the couple went public with an adorable pic taken during a romantic spa day back in January. A source revealed at the time: "Danny is smitten with Maddi but wanted to keep the relationship low profile. It's still early days but they enjoyed spending Christmas together and pals believe they'll get even more serious. Everyone is chuffed to bits for them as they get on so well."

Role in beloved sitcom

Fans of iconic British sitcom Benidorm may well recognise Danny's face from the casting list, with the 30-year-old thespian having previously played teen troublemaker Tiger Dyke. The son of Clive and Tonya Dyke, the cheeky young holidaymaker first checked into the Solana all-inclusive hotel in the first episode of season six, back in 2014. Tiger made his final appearance in 2017, just one year before the show was axed, much to viewers' dismay.

A memorably naughty character, Tiger was always up to mischief, even once convincing pal Michael Garvey (Oliver Stokes) to get a dodgy tattoo following a night of heavy drinking. Opening up ahead of a 2014 episode where Tiger and Michael flogged fake drugs to members of a stag party, the London School of Musical Theatre graduate described his character as "a right stroppy teen" who "loves causing trouble".

Danny told Whattowatch: "When I first came to Benidorm it was very scary, and the first couple of weeks I didn't really like it. But now I love it. I'd come here next year or the year after just for a holiday because it's such fun. Every second of the day you're entertained. It's even entertaining walking along the beach seeing all the weird and wonderful characters."
