Shoppers claim they 'haven't used the heating' since purchasing an Oodie

Although the sun’s shining, there’s a definite chill in the air, and if you’re struggling to keep warm at home, investing in a ‘cosy’ hooded blanket could make all the difference this winter.

Oodie’s first became popular in 2020 amid the cost of living crisis, and with energy bills still on the rise, it seems they’re just as popular this year too, with many households even ‘ditching their heating’ after purchasing the winter warner for themselves and their family members.

Best of all? There’s a flash sale on right now which sees classic Oodie’s dropped to just £39 down from £89! That's the lowest we've seen them dropped to since last year's Black Friday sale - so it’s the perfect opportunity to snap one up to save you from those chilly winter nights.

Described by hundreds as ‘a must for cold seasons’ and ‘fabulously warm’ thanks to the soft flannel fleece on the outside and warm sherpa fleece on the inside, it’s not hard to see why these hooded blankets are so popular amongst shoppers.

Last year, on Martin Lewis' Money Saving Expert website, one fan said she hadn't needed her heating since buying the winter must-have. While not specifically promoting the Oodie brand, she said: "Invested in an oversized hoodie blanket to snuggle up in, not used the heating since."

Plenty of other shoppers have left similar comments on Oodie's official website, with one customer adding: "Absolutely love my Oodie, it is SO cosy! My boyfriend’s house is always Baltic and I really struggle to get/stay warm there but the oodie has changed everything! It’s definitely going to help me save on my own heating bills too, I don’t know how I ever survived without it!"

While a second added: "Very warm and perfect for curling up at home without the need to run the heating system full blast."

The 'snug' Oodie's are one size which is based on a 6XL hoodie for an oversized fit, and they're available in multiple colours and patterns to suit your style. They also feature a large kangaroo front pocket which is perfect for warming up your hands and an roomy hood filled with the fluffy sherpa that can be found inside the Oodie.

It's not just hooded blankets up for grabs either as the brand sells everything from sleep tees and dressing gowns to slippers and even Oodie's for your pet!

Now, even on sale, Oodie's aren't the cheapest hooded blankets out there, and luckily there's plenty of similar affordable alternatives including this £20 dupe from Marks & Spencer which shoppers are calling 'just as good.'

The Teddy Fleece Hooded Blanket starts from just £19.50 and comes in three sizes and five colours. It's super soft inside and out, and like the Oodie, it has a large kangaroo pocket - perfect for popping a water bottle inside for extra warmth.
