Big Brother's Yinrun gets 'jailed' over rule break

Big Brother's Yinrun is set to be jailed after breaking an important house rule.

Last night on spin off show Late and Live, it was revealed the housemate would be put in jail for breaking a rule but didn't divulge what she'd done. During the programme, host AJ Odudu revealed Yinrun had been put in a small red cage in the garden of the Big Brother house for three hours. It was confirmed Yinrun going to jail and it would affect the eviction as her votes will now not count.

On Wednesday's show the 25-year-old is set to be shamed in front of the whole group for breaking a rule in scenes aired tonight. Once all the housemates have cast their nominations, Big Brother will reveal: "Housemates. The rules regarding the discussion of nominations were clearly explained to you. Today at 1:18pm, this rule was broken by one of you. Both of their nominations have been revoked and they will also go to jail."

Big Brother adds: "The housemate that broke the rule is Yinrun." In response, Yinrun stands up and says: "I feel very sorry because it might be a punishment for all housemates. I still say it because I was so nervous today and I don’t know who to choose. I apologise – sorry everyone." Big Brother then reveals the three housemates facing this week's eviction.

As punishment, Yinrun changes into an orange jumpsuit before heading into the garden to spend time in jail. Yinrun seeks support from Trish and Matty as she is devastated by what she did and how it will impact the nominations. Trish says: "It’s just a bit of jail time." Yinrun replies: "I don’t mind going to jail if this didn’t happen."

Trish urges: "Yinrun, you’re good. Try not to go into despair or guilt." After spending several hours in jail, the housemates begin to protest for her release shouting: "Free Yinrun!" Will Big Brother allow Yinrun to return to the house? Has she learnt her lesson?

When she joined the show, the customer support agent confessed her love of tea. "Since I moved to the UK, I have to drink a cup of tea every day - Yorkshire tea with milk," she said. Asked what made her apply to the show and what she's most looking forward to, Yinrun shared: "Because I think this is such a fun game show. I I think it's another adventure for me. I'm a pretty adventurous person.

‌"I’m most excited about being surrounded by so many people from different walks of life. I don't think I will ever live in a house again with so many different kinds of people. I’m from China and I think it will help me be more immersed in British culture." Yinrun isn't the only housemate to be punished this series.

Hallie had been punished for breaking a rule after she told housemates that she thought Matty had nominated her. Big Brother said it was a rule break as it was discussing nominations. "Therefore, Big Brother is left with no choice but to punish you," she was told. As her punishment, she was forced to wear a giant sandwich board which dubbed her a "rule breaker". Hallie and Olivia had also penned secret messages to each other during their nominations when Hallie spelt letters out on Olivia's back.

Big Brother exposed the rule breaking to the whole house, leaving the housemates stunned, as Hallie and Olivia were sent to a jail in the garden, where they had to sit in the rain in orange uniforms. During the explosive scenes, Big Brother said: "This is Big Brother. Before you entered the house, the Big Brother rules were explained to you. The rules state that you may not attempt to communicate in code or write in messages.

"Yesterday this rule was broken by Hallie and Olivia. Olivia, you said to Hallie, 'write me secret messages on my back'. Hallie you wrote on Olivia’s back. Olivia you relayed this out loud and said 'is a gameplayer'. Later on Hallie, you wrote another message on Olivia’s back, as you did so, Olivia you said the letters out loud 'N' and 'O'. Hallie, stand up. Is there anything you would like to say?" The housemates were left stunned and thought the girls were talking about Noky. Clearing up any confusion, Hallie said: "Do you want me to say what was written? I said Zak was a gameplayer and I said I think Matty nominated me. It was nothing about Noky!"
