Britney Spears' highly-anticipated memoir, The Woman in Me, is finally here. On it's pages, the Princess of Pop gives fans an inside look at her rise to fame, tumultuous relationships and 13-year-long conservatorship.
The book, which Britney has dedicated to her two sons, was published by Gallery Books and is available from October 24th wherever books are sold. Throughout it, the 41-year-old singer describes what it was like to grow up under intense media scrutiny and public criticism which ultimately led her to start taking Prozac.
Excerpts released before the release teased comments about her controversial conservatorship. Britney had been under the conservatorship for more than a decade when it was ended back in 2021. She thanked her supporters in one chapter of the book.
Britney also opens up about her love life in the memoir, which includes her writing for the first time that she had an abortion during her relationship with Justin Timberlake. The former couple split up after four years together, with Britney claiming that he cruelly dumped her via text message.
A synopsis for the Woman in Me book reads: "Written with remarkable candour and humour, [Britney's] groundbreaking book illuminates the enduring power of music and love - and the importance of a woman telling her own story, on her own terms, at last."
