Strictly star Giovanni's private words to Amanda show true feelings amid 'feud'
Strictly Come Dancing star Giovanni Pernice appeared to show his true feelings for partner Amanda Abbington before she quit the show.
The pair have hit the headlines over the last week after first pulling out of the last live show before announcing that Amanda had quit for good. Amanda said she had 'deep regret' to leave over 'personal reasons', with fans speculating if a rumoured fallout with Giovanni could be to blame.
It had previously been reported the paid had exchanged cross words in the rehearsal room with the Sherlock actress being frustrated with her partner's 'aggressive' technique. However rumours of an ongoing 'feud' appear to be quashed by some sweet words from Giovanni caught on camera.
The couples are required to wear microphones during their dances, which pick up their conversations - although this is not aired live on Saturday night. Instead the footage is shared on the Strictly Instagram feed to give an insight into what's really happening on the ballroom floor.
The pro dancer was recorded saying the words “beautiful” to Amanda as the pair danced the Foxtrot to iconic Fleetwood Mac hit Everywhere, before pretending to kiss as part of the romantic routine.

Amanda and Giovanni came fourth on the Strictly leader board for what became their final performance that week with a decent score of 31 and seemed to have had a good night. But days later, it was announced Amanda would not be taking part in week five of the competition due to “medical reasons”.
After missing the live shows at the weekend, it was confirmed Amanda would be leaving the show for good. Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, the 49-year-old actress said: “It is with deepest regret that I had to leave Strictly.”

During the performance Giovanni secretly said the words 'beautiful' (Instagram)She continued: “I did not come to this decision easily or lightly but for personal reasons I am unable to continue. It was an absolute joy working with my fellow contestants, they are a beautiful, hardworking and talented group of people who I love and who I will miss seeing every Friday and Saturday and competing alongside.
"I want to thank the incredible Production team and everyone on Strictly who looked after me and who are so kind and caring. It’s a wonderful bunch of people and I’ll miss all of them. I’m so sad that I am unable to go any further. Thank you to everyone who voted and who sent wonderful messages and inspiring support. You are all amazing. Truly. Thank you. xxx."
Further fuelling rumours of a ‘feud’ between the pair, Amanda failed to mention partner Giovanni in her tribute to Strictly colleagues – a fact that didn’t go unnoticed by fans of the BBC dance show.
One wrote: “Such a pity but leaving Giovanni without a thank you doesn’t seem right. He’s always been kind and caring to his partners.” Another pointed out: “I think Amanda you have forgotten somebody there, what about a mention for your partner??”
A third fan said: “That’s what I thought too! Bit strange.” A fourth chimed in: “I think not mentioning him tells us everything really.” Speculating what could be going on behind the scenes, a fifth fan said: “I have the feeling there was something more interpersonal than that. They really stood a chance to get to the final.”
There have been rumours of a backstage 'feud' between Amanda and Gio (BBC)The fan comments come after Giovanni posted his own tribute to Amanda. Sharing a smiling snap of them backstage in their pyjamas, the 33-year-old wrote: “Amanda .. I am so sad we can’t continue but I am proud of what we achieved and I am sending you so much love.”
It was a stark difference from Amanda’s Instagram message the weekend before, when she promised to be back with Giovanni on the show. Then, she shared a picture of them in mid-performance, captioning it: "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! SO MUCH FOR ALL YOUR LOVE, KINDNESS AND SUPPORT. It truly means the world to read all your beautiful and heartfelt messages! Honestly. I’m very humbled by it all. You’re all so bloody LULLY!! See you next week when we cha-cha-charge into Saturday (I’m sorry. Please still vote for us). thank you! Ya beauty.
Gio had commented underneath with a and heart-eyes emoji, telling her, "Legend, let’s do it partner," to which she'd replied with a string of kisses and flames. This morning's posting had none of that same rizz, with Amanda choosing to share an image of the gold shoes she'd danced in the previous week to illustrate her message. The Mirror has approached reps for Amanda and Giovanni for further comment on this story.
