Get a closer look at what games third-party publishers are bringing to the Xbox platform in future via a new dedicated livestream coming later this week.

Fresh off of finally welcoming Activision Blizzard into the Xbox first-party studio family by getting its Microsoft Activision deal done, Microsoft has announced that a new livestream called the Xbox Partner Preview will run later this week. As suggested by the digital event’s name, it’s set to give Xbox Series X|S players a sneak preview of what third-party publishers have in store for the platform in the near future.

As this is the first ever Xbox Partner Preview to be shown there’s not really a recognised format for how the livestream will go. However, the Xbox Wire blog that accompanied its announcement promised “a fresh look at content from partners” based on the Xbox Series X’s upcoming release calendar. The Xbox Partner Preview will officially broadcast this Wednesday, October 25, and we’ve got you covered if you want to know an exact start time, where you can watch it as well as what third-party Xbox games you can expect to see.

Xbox Partner Preview livestream: start time

The Xbox Partner Preview is set to begin at 6pm BST / 1pm EDT / 10am PDT on Wednesday, October 25, with an expected runtime of around 30 minutes as per Xbox itself. Obviously there’s no precedent for what exactly this half hour will consist of, but this snippy timespan suggests that the livestream will be extremely quickly paced. The show is unlikely to be as extensive as the Xbox and Bethesda showcase from back in January.

Xbox Partner Preview livestream: how to watch

As is typically the case for Xbox livestreams, viewers will be able to watch the Xbox Partner Preview on its dedicated YouTube and Twitch channels. Both will be airing at the exact same time – you just need to pick whichever platform you prefer.

Xbox Partner Preview livestream: what to expect

The Xbox Partner Preview is said to be exclusively focussed on third-party titles – including those set to arrive on Xbox Game Pass. That’s according to the Xbox Wire blog post, anyway, which goes on to state the specific games that are set to be shown. Those hoping for some juicy Activision Blizzard announcements shouldn’t get too excited, however, as Xbox clarified in a follow-up tweet that no games from the recently acquired publisher will be shown.

Here's all the confirmed third-party titles we know for certain will be on display at the show:

  • Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth
  • Alan Wake 2
  • Ark Survival Ascended
  • Dungeons of Hinterberg

Although the list is relatively small, the blog post does end with the promise of “and more”, indicating that the 30-minute show will include at least a couple of surprises Xbox is closely holding to its chest. Luckily, we don’t have to wait too much longer to find out for sure. We’ll be streaming the show live on the Mirror Gaming YouTube channel, so feel free to join and we’ll discover what Xbox has to offer together.
