'Entitled truck driver took up four parking spaces - so I got revenge'
There’s nothing more frustrating than trying to find a free spot in a busy car park. Not only can you sometimes end up driving around for ages but there’s also etiquette to follow, the most important being not to take up too much space. One disgruntled driver discovered to his cost that bad parking isn't just inconsiderate, but it can also seriously backfire.
Sharing a story of petty revenge on social media, one man revealed how he went to extreme lengths to teach an entitled driver a lesson. He explained: “I went to the mall for a small errand and obviously it is the weekend so parking was scarce. As I'm on the search I see two spots pretty close so I assume it's my lucky day, but as I get there I see that a pickup has managed to take up four spots at once.”
The man explained that if he had been in his usual truck he would have carried on but he happened to be in his “super compact clown car” that can easily fit into small spaces, so decided to fit into what was left behind the entitled driver’s vehicle.
He went on: I park and go in to do my thing and as I walk out I can see the owner walking around frustrated and getting closer I can see why. Another tiny car had pulled up and upgraded my petty revenge and blocked the truck from pulling out forward. I chuckle as I put away my one item but as I start to get in my car the guy throws his hands up at me and shakes his head calling me a trash hole like it was my fault he's in this situation.”

Astonished by the entitlement of the truck driver, the man decides to make things even worse for him. He went on: “Just then I realize I haven't had lunch yet and even though the food court lines are crazy long, a pretzel would really hit the spot. So I lock my car back up and start walking back inside.
“At a distance, I see the guy get back out because he realized I left and start to look around to try and measure if he can shimmy his truck out. I order, eat, and take my time responding to a few texts and emails.”
After enjoying his lunch at a leisurely pace, the man returned to his car. He continued: “I see my new best friend still there resigned to his fate, this time no eye contact is made but I can see him watching me through the corners of his eyes and in the mirrors as he reverses almost in sync with me and we both get on with our day.”
Overjoyed by the simple yet petty revenge on the bad parker, people flooded the Reddit post with comments. One joked: “Brilliant! Funny how those pretzel cravings just sneak up on you right?” Someone else added: “Well played. Why are people so bad at parking? Luckily I’ve got an 18-year-old banger and don’t care about dents and scratches anymore. If I had something newer I would park away from everybody else but I wouldn’t take 4 spaces!”
And a third person penned: “People who do this stuff are so entitled they see it as everyone else's fault. They can't see their selfish ways. It's a new pandemic of narcissism and stupidity.”
