A man drove a white car through a group of peaceful protestors at a pro-Palestine rally in Minneapolis, zooming through the crowd and narrowly missing people who had flanked the car to get it out of the protest area as they worked to protect everyone else there.

The clips, which were posted to Twitter, appeared to show a man driving a white sedan running a red light, then totally ignoring the barrier of vehicles set up to block off part of the road where the protest was scheduled to occur.

It swerved between the parked cars, drone footage shows, as demonstrators actively tried to stop it by pushing it back into traffic and, at one point, opening the door to get the driver out.

The driver appeared to slam the door shut again, then started inching forward, making his intentions clear as protestors in front of the car, some of whom had begun kicking it and beating on it, jumped out of the way to avoid being hit.

Multiple demonstrators then appeared to chase after the vehicle, screaming at the man as they did, trying to chase him to kick his car more or see if they could extract him from it.

Other protestors shouted at them to get out of the street and avoid chasing the vehicle, which was trapped and could only turn around and come back at them.

The vehicle did turn around, eventually making its way into the other lanes of traffic and speeding off the way it had come, narrowly missing an even larger crowd on the streets on the opposite corner of the split highway where the incident began.

The crowd and one person reported the sound of a gunshot, according to MPD. There were no injured and no arrests were made, CBS News reported.

The protest and alleged violence that ensued came after Hamas militants invaded Israel on October 7, resulting in the deaths of around 1,400 innocent Israelis who sheltered in their homes or who were at a music festival near the Gaza border.

Israel retaliated by slaughtering nearly 4,500 civilians in Gaza — refugees, women and most shockingly, a significant number of children. The majority died in air strikes launched by the country as it works to completely eradicate Hamas from the tiny swath of land that's more densely populated than any American city.

Bomb strikes have targeted hospitals, U.N. shelters and bases and refugee camps, and while one or two Hamas leaders have now been reported killed, the deaths incurred by most strikes were innocent civilians or hospital and aid workers.

That, as well as the long history of Israeli occupation in the region, which used to belong to the Palestinian people, is why thousands flocked to the streets of Minneapolis on Sunday wielding hand-crafted signs, megaphones and a plethora of Palestinian flags.

As the war in the Middle East rages on, aid and supplies are finally being allowed to trickle through Egypt's Rafah border crossing. But Israel's invasion of Gaza continues, and many more innocents are dying. Eyes from around the world are on the nation as it continues to commit what many consider to be war crimes.

More hostages have been released by Hamas and other groups holding them. Many Americans were recently released as part of that as the U.S. continues to send aid to Israel in the form of military supplies and personnel. Numerous world leaders have criticised that move, as have several high-level officials in the U.S. State Department, some of whom resigned their positions after decisions made by President Joe Biden and Secretary of State Antony Blinken in recent weeks relating to arms deals.

Rumours of impending Iranian involvement in the conflict are increasing as more parties join the battles, including the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah, which, like Hamas, has historically been funded by the Iranian state. If Iran joins the conflict, the war could significantly escalate, and the bloodshed could become even more widespread than it already has been.
