BBC Strictly Come Dancing winner 'sealed' as fans all say the same thing
Strictly Come Dancing viewers have hailed contestant Ellie Leach as a certain for this year's final after she wowed the judges with her week four performance.
The former Coronation Street star, who is partnered with professional dancer, Vito Coppola, scored 37 on Saturday night for the pair's Paso Doble to Insomnia by Faithless. It landed them second place on the leaderboard - two points behind Layton Williams and Nikita Kuzmin.
Now, fans have flocked to social media to throw their weight behind the 22-year-old, who has become one of the favourites to lift this year's Glitterball Trophy. One X (formerly Twitter) user declared: "Ellie is so beyond good I can’t wait to see how amazing she is come the final because she’s def gonna be dancing in it #strictly."
Another wrote: "Holy s***! Ellie Leach didn’t come to play with that samba, did she? I’m constantly surprised every week. I’m calling it, I think she’ll deffo be in the final." A third added: "Without a shadow of a doubt Ellie will make the final. She is getting better and better every week and she's developing into a confident and beautiful dancer. Vito brings the best out of her with his brilliant Choreography. Love this partnership with my whole heart."
A fourth commented: "Don't worry Ellie and Vito, you'll get to perform that again in the final and get a perfect 40!!! #Strictly." And a fifth said: "Ellie & Vito - 10. LOVE this partnership. The pair sparked rumours of a romantic relationship blossoming after Vito planted a kiss on Ellie's cheek on Saturday (BBC)It comes after Ellie and Vito fuelled rumours they could be more than just dance partners as they shared a passionate kiss at the end of their routine. After the sizzling performance, 31-year-old Vito took Ellie's face in his hands and pressed his lips affectionately to her cheek - and viewers were thrilled to see it.
One fan posted on X: "I've been saying for WEEKS that Ellie and Vito are together and I was right!!! #Strictly." Another wrote: "Woah the ending where he helps her up and I swear they were about to snog before they realised where they were... Go Ellie and Vito #StrictlyComeDancing." And a third said: "Ellie and Vito absolutely smashed it this week! There was definitely *something* happening though."
Actress Ellie split from her model and dancer boyfriend, Reagan Pettman in May, with a source revealing at the time, "Ellie and Reagan decided to call things a day and she is making the most of her single status." They added that the star had "taken time to reflect which direction her life is going in."
Ellie later revealed the reason for the breakup was that Reagan had cheated on her, as she told The Mirror: "Being cheated on was upsetting, but now’s the perfect time to put my all into Strictly and give that 500 percent." Vito, meanwhile, was in a relationship with singer Arisa - his celebrity partner on the Italian version of the show in 2021 - but the pair are also understood to have since gone their separate ways.
