Tonight's winning Lotto numbers have been announced - but Camelot said nobody won the £7million jackpot, which is rolling over once more.

The estimated jackpot for next Wednesday is now £8.4million. For £2 a ticket, Lotto players need to pick six numbers from 1-59 and match at least two main numbers to win a prize. To win the jackpot, you need to match all the main six numbers.

For a chance to win up to £500,000 in the Thunderball, players can pick five numbers from 1-39, and a Thunderball from 1-14. Lucky Dip is also available for players to choose randomly selected numbers.

The biggest ever Lotto winner was created in April 2016 when an anonymous player banked £35million. In January 2016, two ticket-holders walked away with £33million each.

How does a Rolldown work?

The National Lottery's website says: "Whenever there’s a Lotto Must Be Won draw and no one wins the jackpot by matching 6 main numbers, there’s a Rolldown. This means the jackpot is shared across other prize tiers where players match 2 or more main numbers, so thousands can expect to win a boosted cash prize.

"Players matching 2 main numbers in a Rolldown will each receive a £5 cash prize in addition to their usual free Lucky Dip. The remaining jackpot prize fund will then be allocated (in set percentages) to the other winning prize tiers and shared amongst those winners."

Couple ignored emails about £120,000 Lottery prize for weeks

A "laid back" couple who entered a National Lottery draw and then spent four weeks ignoring emails from the competition as they were "busy" eventually realised they had scooped up a huge £120,000 prize.

James Briggs, 42, and wife Sally, 40, didn’t open the messages from Camelot for a month after the winning numbers were drawn.

But after the fourth email from the National Lottery, James finally gave them a ring and discovered he would be given £10,000 a month for the next year.

The lucky pair, from Walsall, matched the five main numbers in the "Set For Life" draw and said they are now going to spend some of their winnings on a holiday, a laptop and a new front door. They have also paid off a loan they used to buy a car and plan to build Sally her own arts and crafts "man cave".
