Emmerdale Chloe twist confirmed as fans react to bombshell cliffhanger

Emmerdale fans were quick to react on Friday night after it was confirmed that Chloe Harris remembers everything from the car crash.

Fans will recall that Chloe, Mackenzie Boyd and Charity Dingle were involved in a brutal car crash last week, where a van crashed into them at full speed out of nowhere. Mackenzie was able to escape the wreckage but realised his two lovers were trapped in the car, which was perilously perched on the side of a cliff.

Mackenzie picked Charity, which resulted in Chloe falling off the cliff and being airlifted to hospital. Chloe underwent serious brain surgery, where it was revealed she had been put in an induced coma and she could have longterm brain damage. On Thursday's episode, the hospital brought Chloe out of her coma as an anxious Mackenzie and Amy Wyatt stood by. Thankfully, Chloe woke up but when it came to her remembering the car crash, she claimed she could "remember nothing".

On Friday's episode, Chloe admitted she could remember more from the crash, claiming she remembers screaming out for Mackenzie to help her but then it's a blank. Mackenzie then lied, saying he couldn't reach her in time to which Chloe thanked him for trying to save her anyway, even calling him a "hero".

However, it was soon revealed that Chloe was playing a game as later in the hospital, when left alone with son Reuben, she menacingly said: "We might have to get used to this again, being just the two of us... what with daddy lying every time he opens his mouth because mummy remembers, doesn't she, that daddy chose Charity and just left me to die…"

Soap watchers were quick to react to the twist with one person writing on Twitter, now X: "#Emmerdale Chloe knows, what ever she’s scheming it better be good", a different account put: "Yes I knew Chloe remembered everything!!", another follower wrote: "Can’t wait for Chloe’s revenge on Charity and Mackenzie #emmerdale!" while a different soap watcher added: "So Chloe does remember! revenge time! #Emmerdale!"

Elsewhere, some viewers think they have rumbled Chloe's revenge on Mack, predicting that she will leave the village with their baby son never to be seen again. One person said: "Chloe will disappear with Reuben before Mack picks her up to go home. #emmerdale", a different account put: "She will leave Mack taking Ruben with her #emmerdale" while another soap watcher added: "She’s gonna get better, reveal to the whole village, then leave with Rueben #Emmerdale!"
