USWNT ace Ali Krieger fires subtle dig at Ashlyn Harris as team-mates react
USWNT star Ali Krieger used a Beyonce song reference to insinuate that her ex-wife, Ashlyn Harris, who she shares two kids with, cheated on her with actress Sophia Bush.
A split between Krieger, 39, and Harris, 38, came to light last week, divorcing after four years of marriage with their relationship "irretrievably broken". However, since the split, rumors linking Harris to actress Bush, 41, have refused to go away, leading to Krieger dropping a potential hint at an overlap and infidelity.
Harris and Bush participated on a panel in Cannes back in June, where the latter was seen grabbing the women's football star's arm. The former USWNT Harris then wrapped her arm around the actress in a photo.
According to the Daily Mail, immediately following Cannes, Harris ended her marriage with Krieger, who was blindsided. "Apparently Ashlyn came back right after Cannes, ended their marriage and said there was nothing to even speak about regarding it," a source told the outlet. "Just over."

"Preparing for playoffs while in my Beyoncé lemonade era," Kreiger wrote on Instagram the day of ex-wife Harris' birthday. The 2016 Beyonce song addressed her husband Jay-Z's unfaithfulness. Kyle Krieger, the brother of Ali, dropped an even bigger hint, responding in reference to Beyonce's song "Don't Hurt Yourself": "This is your final warning, you know I give you life. If you try this s*** again, you gone lose your wife."
"Love you and so proud of you!! These hoes ain’t loyal!! But me and your fans are!" he added. Some big USWNT names also jumped into Krieger's comments section in support of the Gotham FC star. "These comments do not disappoint," Alex Morgan said, accompanied by a fire emoji.
Sophia Smith and Crystal Dunn also added their reaction. "Energyyyy," the former wrote. Dunn said: "Ooop."
Sophia Bush and Ashlyn Harris are reportedly dating (Getty)Bush, also recently divorced from Grant Hughes, and Harris have reportedly been friends for years and only recently had their first dinner date, according to People. "After being friends for years, and running in the same social circles, Sophia and Ashlyn went out on their first dinner date a couple of weeks ago," an insider added.
"Although it's new information to the public, Ashlyn and Ali's divorce began months ago and they have been living apart since the summer. This is so recent, and they are both beginning new chapters."
Harris is already retired but Krieger will be joining her after the NWSL playoff run. They will take on the North Carolina Courage on Sunday, Oct. 22.
