A couple have been left outraged at their neighbours who 'scream' their heads off between 2am and 4am most nights. It has prompted them to get 'petty revenge' so the rowdy duo living next door know what it's like to be sleep deprived and agitated all week long.

Taking to Reddit, she said: "My neighbours whom I share my bedroom wall have been screaming and shouting between 2am to 4am. I have not been able to sleep for a week. This last Tuesday they were having a party from 1.30am to 5am - not like a super big thing but they had some people over and were yelling and playing loud music.

Annoyed, the woman knocked on their shared wall at about 2.30am hoping they'd get the message to keep the noise down - but this only started a 'war' between them. "Their response was screaming back at us through the wall cursing at us and calling us a**holes and threatening to beat us up," she added.

"At this point we just called the police but that didn’t do much, they just turned off the music and kept being a**holes screaming the whole night. My apartment complex won’t do anything to fix it and said it was pretty much up to us to contact the police when this happens.

"We tried talking to them but they won’t open the door. Last night the started again and I was so fed up I gave three gentle knocks. They seem like aggressive people so I didn’t want to agitate them. They then started to knock aggressively 10 times on the wall and screaming.

Fed up, the woman got dressed and marched over to her neighbour's flat to give them a piece of her mind - but when they opened the door, they started acting "all innocent and surprised". Her excuse was: “I am here all day and I always hear you making so much noise throughout the day, stepping hard on the floor and all and even hear you having sex at night.

"Mind you, we live in the first floor so there’s no way she heard the steps. I told her that I work 7am to 5pm and go to the gym at 6pm to 9pm and then go to sleep early so it’s impossible that she heard me. Even the sex part, we are not loud at all, especially because we know how thin the walls are.

"They tried to act stupid and kept claiming they were not making any noise and the conversation ended with her saying that they will be moving out in two days. I’m thinking this is a lie, honestly." Wanting to get her own back, the woman, who works from home certain days of the week, has come up with a plan to give them a taste of their own medicine.

She said: "I’m planning on blasting some metal music full volume on the wall at 8am, as I assume they will be asleep at that time. This situations is honestly taking it out on my health as I am sleep deprived and constantly agitated."

While most users supported her 'evil plan', others shared their own suggestions when it comes to the music she plays through the walls. One user said: "Interlace baby shark with your metal. It will drive them batty.

Another user added: "Record their own screaming and pounding. As soon as it stops they're probably going to bed. Wait a half hour until they're ready to sleep then start the playback. A third user said: "Sounds like a good opportunity to introduce them to Slipknot."
