Ten Hag given fresh Sancho problem as Man Utd star's transfer stance emerges
Manchester United outcast Jadon Sancho would prefer to leave the club on loan rather than on a permanent basis once the transfer window reopens in January.
Sancho, 23, has been frozen out at Old Trafford after becoming embroiled in a public spat with Erik ten Hag. The England winger took to social media to deny claims from the Dutchman that he had been omitted from the matchday squad that travelled to Arsenal back in September due to poor training performances.
Ten Hag responded by banishing the England star from all first-team facilities, with Sancho currently eating and training alone. The former Borussia Dortmund ace has reportedly refused to apologise to his manager, with United now ready to cut their losses on the £73million forward in the New Year.
However, a new report from The Standard claims that while Sancho is interested in a move, he would prefer to leave the door open for a potential return to Old Trafford - particularly in the wake of United's poor start to the season, although there is no indication Ten Hag's job is currently under threat.
While United are open to a cut-price permanent deal or a loan exit, Ten Hag's preference would be to offload Sancho for good. It remains to be seen, though, how much clubs would be willing to pay for a player who has struggled to replicate his dazzling Bundesliga form in the Premier League.

Intriguingly, Sancho's former club, Borussia Dortmund, have been in contact with the player's representatives in recent weeks. The report claims that Italian giants Juventus have also reached out.

The winger has not been included in a single squad since his social media outburst, which was eventually taken down.
Mirror Football revealed last month that three of Sancho's England colleagues, Marcus Rashford, Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw, had pleaded with their teammate to apologise to Ten Hag.
But with Sancho reluctant to do so, the current stalemate between player and manager shows no sign of ending anytime soon. Ten Hag and United, minus Sancho, will resume their domestic campaign following the conclusion of the international break against struggling Sheffield United at Bramall Lane on Saturday evening.
