Beauty fans can save £35 on 'weather-proof' GHD straighteners
If you're looking for a new pair of hair straighteners, it might be time to take advantage of Amazon's sale that sees the online retailer cutting the prices of popular electrical hair tool brand GHD.
Amazon is offering 24% off their highly acclaimed Gold Hair Straighteners, that shoppers say are "the best hair straighteners" they've ever owned. This takes their original price of £189 down to £142.99 - more than £35 cheaper than the black GHD straighteners on John Lewis.
The limited time offer only applies to the gold variation of the styler, but their Mini Ceramic Hair Straighteners are also discounted by 15%, making them £125.99 instead of £149.
Featuring two next-generation heat sensors, one across each styling plate, the Gold Hair Straighteners evenly maintain the optimum styling temperature of 185ºC the entire time you are straightening or creating a curl to your hair.

Another commented that they are great for curling as well as straightening your strands, saying: "These straighteners glide through my hair with no drag at all. I thought I wasn't pressing on hard enough but they left my hair perfectly smooth. Also great for a loose wave."
Shoppers claim that rain is no match for these straighteners - one person said that during wet weather, "usually my hair frizzes up and curls right away, however my hair has remained pretty straight and smooth even now. Actually this is the straightest my hair has remained in general from any straighteners I've used in any weather."
There are however, a few negative reviews that these GHD straighteners are only fitted with one heat setting. One shopper said, "my only gripe is that there is no temperature control."

For a cheaper alternative, Mirror Choice beauty expert Bethan Shufflebotham tried the £24 Remington Shine Therapy Advanced Ceramic Hair Straighteners and found that, "for the price - coming in five times cheaper than Cloud Nine and a quarter of the price of ghds - I really couldn’t fault them. It took me under 10 minutes to straighten all my hair and styling no longer felt like a chore."
