Katie Price has insisted that the public will 'always compare' her and her teenage daughter Princess, and the 16-year-old sets her sights on following in her famous mum's footsteps.

Former glamour model Katie, 45, is a proud mum to five children, and is over the moon that her eldest daughter Princess, who she shares with ex-husband Peter Andre has inherited the same love for fashion and makeup as her famous mum.

The mother-daughter duo are about to embark on a makeup masterclass across the UK, and opening up about Princess' future career prospects after failing some of her GCSE exams, Katie said she couldn't be more proud of the teen for following her passions in life.

On The Katie Price Show podcast: When asked by sister Sophie if she thinks Princess is following in her footsteps Katie said: "I think she is but in a different way. I think Princess is definitely following in my footsteps but when I say I different way I literally entered the industry without any knowledge of anything - thrown in the deep end and had to earn my way up. Whereas I think Princess is more gifted, she's got it all in place, does that make sense? Although she still has to work hard."

Katie added: "But it is different these days because mine was all media and magazines whereas now you've got Instagram to promote yourself so it is different, completely different. It will be easy for her and harder at the same time because people are always gonna compare her to me, it was like they did with you [Sophie] when you was at school, trying to compare you to me. So she will always have that and so we start our beauty thing together on the 1st of November, I've got to enrol us both into that... Ugh why did I say I'd do it?!"

"She wanted to go to college and she wanted to go into beauty and the courses were three years so obviously I've cut her short because I knew she was sitting there in the interview bored of listening of the three years so we've cut it down and I said, 'I'll tell you what I'll do it with you' so I'm taking myself back to college as fellas trying to do my degree and all that now because Jess is here, I've got her to get all the forms for the paramedic thing so I think I'll have to do a degree in all of that so I don't know how I'll fit in everything.”

It comes after Princess opened up about her future prospects and what career path she intends to take after she opened her GCSE results live on Instagram back in August.

At the time, Princess opened the envelope with more than 2,000 fans watching, and the teenager said she hadn’t passed every subject and would have to re-take her Maths exam. Other subjects she scored the equivalent of a D in were Business, Drama and Geography. However, she managed to score a B in Fashion and a C in English, which could be more beneficial to her future job prospects anyway.

Princess – who has already begun working as a social media influencer and doing collaborations with brands - told The Mirror that she's excited to 'get stuck in' to new career projects and hasn't let her GSCE results get her down.

"I love doing what I'm doing now and also beauty training. I'm ready to get stuck in," she said. When asked if she enjoys the glitz and the glamour being Katie Price's and Peter Andre's daughter - and the perks that come with it - Princess said: "I've kind of grown up with it so I'm used to it now. But I love coming to events like this - and I don't mind my picture being taken."
