Naming your baby can be one of the hardest things to do; there are so many names to choose from and absolutely everyone seems to have an opinion. It might be that certain names remind you of people or places you dislike. Or maybe a name is just so out there you just can't get onboard.

Now a very unusual moniker is being debated by the internet after it popped up on a baby forum - and the feedback is not good. A woman took to Reddit to share her disbelief after spotting a post where a mother-of-two revealed the name of her newborn son. It was quickly branded 'beyond bad', 'humiliating' and 'horrendous' on the forum, while others joked it sounded like something a Pokemon character would be called.

The mum of the little boy at the centre of the debate had shared pictures of her baby on Facebook with details about his birth while requesting tips 'on transitioning from one baby to two', after welcoming her first baby only 15 months ago. It was then that she revealed her newborn's unusual first name: Bugzlen.

People on Reddit had a lot to say about it. "No. I'm sorry, Bugzlen?!? Why do you hate your child?" one mum replied. "When you think you've seen every stupid baby name, Bugzlen comes along," another remarked. "I had to go back and read it like four times before my brain would process what it actually said," a third said, while another joked: "This name Bugzme."

It comes after a couple were slammed for 'worst baby name ever' earlier this year. Both proud parents wanted to share their monikers with their youngest child, and so mum and dad actually decided to name their baby Audtom. Taking to Reddit to share their shock, an anonymous critic explained: "My mother just told me the name of her ex's child and my GOD is it a doozy. He and his wife named their daughter: Audtom. Because his name is Tom and her name is Audrey. I could not f*****g believe my ears," they added.

In response, one person wrote: "Assuming this is pronounced 'Autumn' and not 'Odd-Tom', would it have killed them to just spell it Autom? It's still butchered, but at least it's a frog hair closer to the correct spelling." Another replied: "Not me thinking Tomrey would be better." Someone joked: "Tomrey is her brother."

Elsewhere, a Redditor revealed: "I once saw a baby announcement where the mom was named Shannon, the dad was Daniel, and they named the baby Shanniel. I thought that was the worst portmanteau name I'd ever heard… this one is worse."
