Geri Horner talks parenting struggles with husband Christian in rare interview
Geri Horner has revealed rare details about her parenting struggles with her husband, Christian.
The Spice Girl, 51, and Red Bull Formula One boss, 49, got married in 2015 before welcoming their son, Monty, in 2017. Geri also has a daughter Bluebell, 17, from her previous relationship with Sacha Gervasi while Christian shares daughter, Olivia, 10, with his ex -wife, Beverley Allen.
Opening up about the difference in raising Bluebell and Monty, Geri explained she needs to 'think like a team' with Christian as opposed to 'doing things her own way' with her daughter, who she raised on her own.
Sharing a rare insight into co-parenting with her husband on Giovanna Fletcher’s Happy Mum Happy Baby podcast, she said: "You've got to compromise, we might have, you know, we're all different in the way we think things should be done. So learning to be a team, which has been a challenge for me."

Admitting she was "Miss safety conscious", she also joked she was the woman who says: "Put your helmet on while walking down the street", saying there was a good "balance" between her and the Red Bull boss.

Opening up about raising Bluebell, Geri described the 'loneliness' she felt, saying: "Being a single parent, mother you don't have to answer to anyone, but it's all on you. And that can be quite stressful and you have to be responsible. All the responsibilities are on you in every way. Broad shoulders are needed and sometimes it's lonely."
However, the Ginger Spice star thanked her own mum and Bluebell's grandad for helping her look after her daughter, saying she was incredibly grateful for their support.
After a brief fling with screenwriter Sacha in 2005, Geri fell pregnant with Bluebell Madonna, who counts Victoria Beckham and Emma Bunton as her godmothers. Since his split from Geri, Sacha has married into the Rothschild family, getting hitched to theatre director Jessica de Rothschild in 2010. The couple do not have any children together.
Summing up her relationship with Christian, Geri says she's 'learning to put their marriage first'. Explaining she's trying to 'make time for the couple', she said: "I'm learning, it's hard. It's really hard. You know, I've been many times told put your marriage first... because that is the foundation of your family. Because what I realised is, you know, beyond love, you have a laugh together. So try to create that time for you."
