Take a look around any playground and you're going to see an array of costumes - princesses, superheroes, Disney characters, you name it. There are certainly no rules when it comes to playground attire - which makes one woman's recent experience all the more bizarre.

A mum has revealed that she was shamed by a fellow parent over her choice of clothing during a recent visit with her young child. And her followers are just as baffled as she is.

A TikToker who posts under the name @ugnebr shared a short video in the aftermath of the incident, as she returned from the play park with her little one. She began the video saying: "I've just received a comment from a fellow dad at the playground that my outfit is somehow inappropriate."

She joked: "I must've missed the memo where they told me the dress code of a playground. Half of the people there were dressed as princesses and Spiderman. Second of all, how is a T-shirt, skirt, and boots inappropriate? Please explain."

She then showed off her outfit on camera; an oversized black T-shirt with a floral print black mini skirt and cowboy-style boots.

The post has garnered a strong response from fellow TikTokers, with most coming down firmly on the woman's side. "It's not your outfit that's inappropriate, it's him thinking it is," one remarked. A second said: "So… he found you attractive in a kids playground and that made him uncomfortable!!"

A third agreed: "It's probably because he caught himself being attracted to you. So he blamed it on you." And a fourth added: "Those kind of comments tell so much about the person commenting."

It comes after a woman took to Reddit to reveal she had been left seething with her husband after he made an inappropriate comment to a bride on her wedding day - but he doesn't see what the problem is.

The anonymous woman said: "The bride is more the outdoor-loving, sportive, tomboyish type, but chose a pretty, knee-length dress for her wedding. She commented a bit insecurely on it: 'I usually don't wear dresses so I hope this is OK.'

"Promptly my husband had his eyes wander up and down her body and he emphatically said: 'more than OK. I mean, you can wear anything with that figure' I was standing right next to him."

She concluded: "There was a split second of awkwardness, then the bride thanked him and went to greet more guests. Doesn't sit right with me. I had to explain to him why I felt this wasn't appropriate. He was so baffled by my point of view that I'm now second-guessing myself..."
