Adam Thomas shares heartbreaking text from his wife after tearful phone calls

Adam Thomas has shared a tear-jerking text from his wife after opening up about fears surrounding the infamous 'Strictly curse.'

The actor is currently taking part in the BBC dance contest alongside blonde Russian professional partner Luba Mushtuk. The pair have managed to impress judges so far with their performances, including last week when they dressed up as cartoon heroes Mario and Luigi for Movie Week.

Ahead of his next live performance, Adam, 35, has admitted that he and his dance teacher wife Caroline have been struggling with the amount of time they are spending apart as he puts all his energy into training for the show.

Adam said he had joked about the so-called Strictly curse - which has seen many couples break up after a celebrity has competed on the series - but has since had to eat his words. The Waterloo Road actor said Caroine has been ringing him in tears over recent weeks.

“Absence definitely makes the heart grow fonder because I’m constantly ringing her going, ‘God, I love you so much’. She just rang me, crying, going, ‘You don’t know how much it means’.

"It’s the biggest emotional rollercoaster you could possibly ever imagine. I never in my wildest dreams thought that it would be as tough as it is," the star told The Sun.
Following his confession, Adam took to Instagram to share a private message Caroline, who is mum to his kids Teddy, nine, and Elsie, five, sent him.

The post read: "Good night my darling, just saying this now as I feel like tomorrow's always hectic! Throughout this whole thing Iv fallen in love with you all over again. Sometimes these curveballs are thrown at you to make you remember how lucky you are.

"Not having you here all the time has made me realise how much you mean to me, I couldn't love you anymore if I tried, I get giddy at the thought of seeing you like I used to when we first met, I just want to cuddle you and never let go."

Caroline then went on to say that she is "proud to be" Adam's wife as well as not being able to imagine "how hard" taking part in Strictly is. She added: "I promise I'll always try to understand, be here to run a bath, make beans on toast, pack your case, or just anything that makes any of this easier on you."

She signed off the sweet message with: "I can't wait to share the rest of your journey with you, got your back and will hold your hand though it all," along with a red heart emoji.

Adam previously joked about the infamous Strictly curse as he appeared on his brothers Ryan and Scott's podcast, Mancs on the Mic. He said: "The Strictly curse has happened. I know...I couldn't believe it myself but me and Luba...." But he quickly snapped back saying: "I'm joking."
