Magnum PI star Tom Selleck looks unrecognisable during rare appearance
Fans had to do a double-take when they saw Tom Selleck disguising his trademark handlebar mustache.
The 78-year-old actor was spotted wearing a navy blue t-shirt, shorts, and a watch on his left wrist. Tom rocked a salt and pepper coloured short haircut, full beard, and mustache.
He was seen heading to a McDonald's drive-thru by his house in San Fernando Valley, California last month. It's not exactly clear what he got, but he was seen being handed a dark coloured soda and a brown McDonald's bag. After his fast food treat he ran some errands in his Ram pickup truck.

This was a rare public sighting of the Magnum: PI star, with it being over a year since the last sighting.
Tom celebrated his 35th wedding anniversary to fellow actress Jillie Mack, 65. The two married in 1987. Together Jillie and Tom have one daughter, Hannah, who's 34 years old.
This is Tom's second marriage, as he spent a decade married to actress Jaqueline Ray from 1971 to 1982. Jaqueline and Tom adopted a son, Kevin, now 57, who was the former drummer for the American rock band Tonic.
He's known for Magnum: PI but had a recurring role in Friends and other shows (Trinity Mirror)Tom and his wife Jillie live on an avocado ranch in Hidden Valley. The 60 acre ranch was once owned by the iconic Dean Martin.
In 2012, Tom spoke to People magazine about his thoughts about living on this ranch. "So I like to get outside and work on the ranch, from fixing roads to clearing brush," he said, "I hate going to the gym, so sweating outdoors sure beats sitting on a stationary bike staring at my navel. And I work cheaper than anyone I could hire to do it."
Over his almost sixty-year career, Tom has had various iconic roles in both film and television. Though Magnum: PI was his breakout role where he played private investigator Thomas Magnum, he's also appeared in the film Three Men and a Baby, and had a recurring part on Friends playing Monica Geller's love interest Dr. Richard Burke.
