Harry and Meghan riding in seven-car convoy after 'near catastrophic' car chase
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are currently in New York for the first time since their "near catastrophic" car chase earlier this year, and this time it seems they are taking no chances when it comes to their safety.
The couple, who are currently in Manhattan for the Parents’ Summit: Mental Wellness in a Digital Age, were taking no risks on Tuesday when they were seen in the Big Apple with a seven-car convoy. Seemingly trying to avoid another car chase, the Duke and Duchess were escorted by the cars as they attended the World Mental Health Day Festival in New York City.

The couple had a seven-car convoy, according to reports and photographs (T.JACKSON / BACKGRID)Reports say that the couple left a garage near the Equinox Hotel in Hudson Yards, which is where the former Suits star and her husband are staying. MailOnline reports that they then took a left on 33rd Street in accordance with the one-way street, only to end up in another garage that was only a mere 200ft from the first that they hadn't long departed.
The seven-car convoy comprised of hefty blacked-out SUVs with an additional security measure even in place, which was in the form of a marked NYPD escort accompanying their slick fleet of cars.

This comes after the couple made their first public appearance in NYC after the car chase back in May. In the city for the Mental Wellness summit, the couple visited a school in New York where the students who attend pay no fees due to it being funded by philanthropic support.

Announcing their main event, a spokesperson for the organisation said: "The families have been engaged with The Archewell Foundation for the past year, bolstering community and driving towards solutions. Together, they are united in their mission to share personal experiences, data, and research to ensure the same does not happen to other families."
