Meghan Markle still not wearing Diana's diamonds despite 'unease' at the palace
Meghan Markle decided to ditch her dazzling engagement ring as she and her husband Prince Harry visited New York City to host an event in aid of World Mental Health Day.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were at the Archewell Foundation Parents' Summit on Tuesday as part of Project Healthy Minds' World Mental Health Day Festival. Meghan looked very elegant wearing a cream jumpsuit with flared trousers and an off-the-shoulder detail, but one thing was missing from their appearance.
The engagement ring she was given by Harry back in 2017 was not on her left ring finger. Harry designed the ring himself and it boasts a large centre-cut diamond and two smaller diamonds from his late mother Princess Diana's jewellery collection.

The former actress chose not to wear it during her appearance at the Invictus Games last month, before also being seen without the ring while attending the One805 Live! charity event hosted by Kevin Costner just three weeks ago.

Meghan's decision not to wear her engagement ring comes after Prince William was said to be concerned over the whereabouts of his mother's diamonds. A source told New Idea magazine that it doesn't make sense that Meghan would not have "proudly" worn her engagement ring while in Germany.
They added: "And it's safe to say it has set off alarm bells at the Palace. [Prince William's] putting the word out through mutual friends that he wants to know what's going on. Not knowing where they are is disturbing for William."

Fans had also grown concerned after seeing Meghan without the sparkling piece of jewellery, however, a source confirmed it was simply "being fixed". Speaking to People magazine, the source said the three-stone diamond sparkler has been getting serviced after a placement came loose.
