Tommy Fury has followed brother Tyson's pre-fight tactic for KSI showdown

Tommy Fury has followed in the footsteps of his brother Tyson by refraining from social media before his fight against KSI.

Fury looks to win his 10th professional fight this Saturday night when he takes on YouTube boxer KSI at the Misfits Boxing Prime card in Manchester. The star-stacked card features a 'double main event' as KSI's former opponent turned business partner Logan Paul takes on Dillon Danis, a longtime training partner of UFC legend Conor McGregor.

Heavyweight champion Tyson often goes on social media blackouts to concentrate on his upcoming fight - and he is currently using the tactic ahead of his crossover clash against Francis Ngannou on October 28. A quick look at Tommy's Instagram and Twitter accounts will show a lack of recent activity and the Love Island star explained why he isn't posting any content.

"I'm in a different mode now, I'm not really on social media because I've got a job to do and that's to fight on October 14, my job isn't to mess around on Instagram playing games and going back and forth with people. That's what generating the money but at the end of the day I'm not getting paid to do that, I'm getting paid to fight and that's all I will be doing," Fury told BBC Breakfast.

Tyson will be in attendance at the AO Arena on fight night to support his brother as Tommy added: "He'll be there front and centre, he's in the locker room before the fight giving me some instructions so it'll be amazing to have him there. He is a complete vibe by himself, he is an amazing person to have by your side."

Fury thinks KSI has taken part in too many media obligations before the fight and isn't as concentrated as he is. The YouTube boxer is competing in a professional bout for the first time since his 2019 rematch against Logan and Fury thinks the fight will be easier than his win against Jake Paul in February.

"I seen him, Mr Prime, doing all these podcasts and videos. What I am doing? Eating, sleeping, training and repeat. I'm not doing anything else. The only media I'm doing is what's in the contract," Fury added. "Once KSI loses onto the next, him and Jake Paul will probably fight cause they're both in the same thing and would have lost to me."
