It's nice to have a cordial relationship with the people who you live next door to, but sometimes it's just not possible. This could be cause they're not open to niceties, or because you yourself have done something to upset them. This can cause further tension and drama when it comes to things like shared fences, bushes, noise complaints, and more.

One woman took to TikTok to show off the level of pettiness her neighbour had exhibited when they trimmed their side of the bush - but failed to trim her side. Soph Johnson posted the video to show that her side of the bush looked unruly, whereas the next-door neighbour's side of the hedge was neat and freshly trimmed.

Over the top of the video, she wrote: "Tell me you've had an argument with next door without telling me you've had an argument with next door." She then showed her side of the hedge, which looked like it hadn't been pruned in a long time, and then she panned round to the neighbour's side, which had been trimmed to perfection. As part of the caption, she used the hashtags petty and nightmare neighbours as she wasn't impressed with their behaviour.

In the comments, some people were confused about why they'd done that, writing: "But it's their hedge? Why didn't they trim it all?! Looks ridiculous from their side!" Another said: "It's so petty and really isn't worth it." But others agreed that there were reasons they may not have trimmed her side. "I cut mine like this as it's illegal for me to cut anything that doesn't fall on my side…" someone commented.

A TikToker dubbed the world as "sad and selfish" today as they hadn't just trimmed it all, trying to make it ugly from Soph's side, despite the fact that many social media users pointed out that the hedge wasn't even hers. Another said: "For f**ks sake, I would cut it even if I fell out with you because it leaves my side looking s**t."
