KSI accuses Tommy Fury of not taking him seriously in foul-mouthed rant
KSI has mocked Tommy Fury for his choice of sparring partner as he doesn't think the Love Island star is taking him seriously.
YouTube boxer KSI is in the last stages of preparing to fight Fury as they meet next weekend at the Misfits Boxing Prime Card in Manchester. Fury recently wrapped up the final sparring session of his training camp with novice middleweight Owen Kirk, who has a professional record of 3-1-2, but KSI was less than impressed with Fury choosing Kirk to prepare for him.
"Tommy Fury’s final spar…Tommy ain’t taking me seriously," KSI tweeted alongside a picture of Kirk's record before later adding on Instagram : "How f****ng dare you? You're not taking me seriously at all you f****ng piece of s***. I'm preparing myself for the ultimate challenge and this is what you're sparring with? A middleweight with s*** movement and weak a** punches?"

Kirk has since responded to KSI criticising his record by writing: "Six days and you are finished, give me any of your fighters 160-180lbs." KSI hasn't competed in a professional fight since his rematch against Logan Paul in 2019 as all of his recent ring appearances have been sanctioned as exhibition bouts.

The YouTube boxer insists he will become the first man to beat Fury as a professional, stating: "Nobody fights like me, I'm going to knock him out. It's not about who I've fought, it's about who I am. Every person always puts me as the underdog. He's a stiff bodybuilder that boxes. I'm different and yes he's got the experience, but I'm not going to box him I'm going to fight him."
Fury improved to 9-0 earlier this year when he won a split decision against KSI's bitter rival Jake Paul in Saudi Arabia. The Love Island star will likely weigh considerably more than KSI on fight night as both men have to weigh 183lb the day before the fight, but there is no rehydration clause in their contracts.
"From what I can see he isn't knocking anything out, he is a lot smaller of a man than I thought he was. He's got two matchsticks carrying him up. When I fought Jake Paul I was playing games, but I'm going to hit him harder and harder. I won't stop until he's on the ground. I know everything this man is going to do," Fury said.
