Gogglebox star Baasit Siddiqui's wife has paid a heartfelt tribute to their marriage after reaching a special milestone, much to the delight of her online following.

Melissa Siddiqui took to Instagram on Friday to share a sweet message to the education entrepreneur as the Derby couple celebrate their 11th wedding anniversary.

"Forever grateful to be doing life with you," she captioned the post, which included a carousal of romantic highlights from their long-term relationship.

In the first few photos, Baasit and a brunette Melissa are pictured on their wedding day, being showered with confetti in one snap and signing their vows in another. The post also showcases more recent photos of the pair, including one with their two children, Amelia and Theodore, at a marathon race, and one of them on a cute date night. One particular poignant photo shows Baasit, who works in IT, with Melissa and their eldest daughter, Amelia, welcoming baby Theodore to the family.

Melissa also said that she “still loved” their first dance song, which was UB40’s cover of Elvis Presley’s (I Can’t Help) Falling in Love.

Baasit has appeared on Gogglebox alongside his retired father, Sid, and two brothers, Raza and Umar, since the Channel 4 show premiered back in 2013. They quickly attracted a huge fanbase with their hilarious commentary, and today, are largely regarded as one of the series' most beloved families. Every week, Sid, Baasit and Umar join their dad on the sofa and work with a film crew for about six hours. Their third brother Raza, 49, makes the occasional appearance, while their mother, Nasreen, prefers to stay off camera.

“Oh no, it's not something for me," she told the Daily Mail. "I don't speak very good English and I'm very shy. It's best left to the boys. You won't get me on the TV."

While Melissa has not joined Baasit on the Gogglebox sofa either, she appears to be fully supportive of her husband's side gig. She is also undeniably proud of their two children, regularly updating her Instagram with photos of their accomplishments and milestones.

In September, she announced that Amelia was about to start Year 5 while Theodore was off to pre-school. She has also shared her excitement to celebrate the upcoming spooky season with them, revealing on Saturday that Halloween was one of her favourite times of the year.

It has previously been reported that each Gogglebox family is paid a monthly stipend of £1,500, and many participants also make extra cash through brand endorsements they strike from appearing on the show.
