The ex-girlfriend of Manchester United player Antony will fly to the UK to be interviewed by police next week.

Gabriela Cavallin has made allegations of domestic violence against the Brazilian international, claiming she was the victim of a series of attacks between June 2022-May 2023. The player himself has vehemently denied the allegations.

Cavallin, 23, is now scheduled to meet with Greater Manchester Police next Wednesday, according to the . Cavallin has claimed she was assaulted by Antony in a Manchester hotel room the day after United’s 2-1 victory over Manchester City on January 14.

Sao Paulo Civil Police are also investigating her claims that she was attacked by the 23-year-old in June 1 last year. Cavallin has alleged Antony tried to throw her out of a moving car while she was pregnant on holiday.

Antony has been co-operating with police both in the UK and Brazil, and has not been arrested or detained. He has also vowed to clear his name and claims to have evidence that will support him in doing so.

The former Ajax player was stood down from first-team duties last month whilst he dealt with the allegations and was also released from the Brazilian national squad. However, his club have now cleared him to return to training and he appeared as a late substitute in the Champions League loss to Galatasaray on Tuesday.

That decision followed him voluntarily attending an interview last Thursday with Greater Manchester Police. Erik ten Hag defended the club's decision to recall him despite the ongoing investigation.

"So, he cooperated fully," the Dutch manager told reporters, ahead of his side's European game against the Turkish side. "It came out he's not charged."

Antony arrived at Old Trafford in a deal worth £82million last August. It's the third highest transfer fee ever paid by the club after Paul Pogba and Romelu Lukaku, and the Eredivisie's biggest ever transfer.
