Dillon Danis claims he is heading for UFC after fighting Logan Paul

Dillon Danis has claimed that he won't be returning to Bellator or joining the PFL after this fight with Logan Paul, insisting that he's headed for the UFC.

The Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt is undefeated in MMA during his two fights with Bellator, but has been out of action since 2019 after suffering a brutal knee injury that required two surgeries. And with his current promotion's future up in the air, Danis is making other plans for what he'll do should he get past Logan Paul next week in Manchester.

Danis made his name by not only earning a Marcelo Garcia black belt, but becoming one of combat sport's biggest trolls as he called for fights with everyone from Jon Jones to Ryan Garcia. And after losing the last four years of his 20s, the New York native feels that he should hit the ground running and head to the UFC as soon as he can.

There are rumours that PFL will be buying Bellator in the coming weeks, but asked about his future on The MMA Hour yesterday Danis said: "I'm not going to the PFL, I'm going to the UFC. I don't know how much I can say - only way I'll go to PFL is if they give me the Jake Paul fight.

"I don't want to go to PFL, they're all losers. Listen, I'm getting older in age - I want to go tap f***ing Islam [Makhachev, lightweight champion], I want to go beat these guys. It's now or never, I just turned 30, I'm willing to go and f***ing go out there and see if what I'm saying is [true].

"If I go to the UFC give me your toughest fight, give me Ian Garry, give me anybody, give me Neil Magny. 170lb, anybody, Leon Edwards would be the easiest fight. I actually like Colby [Covington] but yeah Colby."

Danis will first have to get through his boxing debut against Paul, who is a heavy favourite given his size advantage and years of training while his rival has been injured. The fighter even admitted that he has yet to find a corner team for the bout, which is just days out from taking place.
