Heartache as 'beautiful' mum, 29, dies just days after giving birth to daughter
A "beautiful" mum has tragically died just days after giving birth to her "perfect" daughter following her battle with cancer.
Hannah Williams, 29, from Liverpool, "peacefully gained her angel wings" on the weekend after spending ten days with her baby Nova, which means bright star. The eyelash technician, who ran her own business, found out she was pregnant with her first child in April this year, but just two months later her health started to deteriorate.
Initially, Hannah endured a chest infection which was so bad that she struggled to breathe. She was later given the devastating diagnosis that she had stage three lung cancer. Hannah gave birth to Nova on September 21 and sadly passed away with Nova nestled into her chest on October 1.
Hannah died at the young age of 29Hannah's mum has since paid tribute and said she showed "immeasurable courage" throughout her health battle, reports Liverpool Echo. She wrote on Facebook : "To all of Hannah’s amazing friends and loved ones. On Sunday 1st October, with Nova cuddled into her Mummy’s chest and with family and friends by her side; Hannah peacefully gained her angel wings.
"Hannah showed immeasurable courage and strength throughout her fight, right up until the very end; and in doing so gave the ultimate gift which was to give life to her beautiful, perfect little girl Nova. Nova, a bright star that releases powerful energy.

"There cannot be a more fitting term to sum up our Hannah, and her spirit and strength will live on through Nova. Mummy will be the brightest star in the sky. Please keep Nova in your prayers and thoughts as she continues to grow from strength to strength.
"We cannot thank you all enough for the support shown during Hannah’s fight. She was truly overwhelmed and grateful." Hannah attended Liverpool A&E with "minor chest pain" in June, and received a diagnosis of pneumonia following a chest X-ray. She was not given antibiotics due to her pregnancy, and so doctors warned her her illness "would get worse before it got better".
Hannah's friends have since paid tribute to their 'beautiful' friendShe previously said: "A week later I was really struggling to breathe just doing general daily tasks. As I live in a top-floor apartment, I could barely get halfway up the stairs. I went to my GP, he listened to my chest and said chest infection. Two days later I went to the walk-in centre, who prescribed me a blue inhaler and five days of Amoxicillin.
"After a further three days, I was back in A&E. I had another chest x-ray - again, pneumonia. After waiting over 15 hours, pregnant, with no food or drink and no sleep for 30 hours, I discharged myself as I was exhausted. I got home, got to bed, and within an hour I had multiple missed calls saying I needed to immediately return for treatment. I arrived, waited more multiple hours. Eventually, I had a CT scan, which confirmed a mass on my left lung which had grown so much in three weeks they knew it was serious."
Following Hannah's diagnosis, her friends set up a fundraising page to help with her bills during treatment due to being unable to work. Her mum has now said this will go towards giving Hannah "the send-off she deserves". Hundreds of people took to the comments section of Hannah's mum's statement to pay tribute to the "beautiful" mum. Alex Phillips said: "Good night my beautiful friend… you haven’t left my mind… don’t know how I got through yesterday. Love you so much… until we meet again."
Jayne Babey said: "This is devastating. Hannah you are a true warrior and loved by so many people. Sleep tight beauty! Heartbreaking I'm so so sorry for your loss no words can come close xx". Jenna Louise Edwards said: "Truly devastating. What a fight you put up and to give your beautiful baby Nova life. Keeping you baby, family & friends in my thoughts. Rest peacefully now Hannah xxx"
