Erik ten Hag has a dearth of options available to him as Manchester United host Crystal Palace in the midst of an injury crisis.

The Red Devils host the Eagles again just days after cantering to a comprehensive 3-0 win over Roy Hodgson's side in the Carabao Cup. And while United may well be confident of a repeat result on Saturday afternoon, they will have to do without a host of regular faces.

Lisandro Martinez is facing up to two months on the sidelines following the recurrence of the foot injury he suffered at the end of last season. He joins Luke Shaw, Tyrell Malacia, Aaron Wan-Bissaka in the treatment room. New boy Sergio Reguilon is also crocked, meaning United are once again without a recognised senior left-back.

Elsewhere, youngster Kobbie Mainoo is still sidelined after being earmarked for a more prominent role this term. Amad is also unavailable after flourishing on loan in the Championship with Sunderland last season.

Andre Onana will continue to don the gloves in goal as part of a makeshift line-up and will be bidding to record a third clean sheet in a row. Who lines up ahead of him, though, remains to be seen.

Victor Lindelof is more likely to get the nod to partner Raphael Varane ahead of Harry Maguire, while Diogo Dalot should be full of confidence at right-back after grabbing an assist against Palace in midweek. In Reguilon's absence, Sofyan Amrabat may once again be asked to deputise at left-back; a role he impressed in during the cup win.

In the engine room, Hannibal Mejbri is a shoo-in to retain his place after impressive performances against Burnley and Palace over the course of the past seven days. Casemiro will anchor United's midfield and Bruno Fernandes will automatically be reinstated to the starting line-up after Ten Hag opted to rest the United captain in midweek.

Mason Mount's return to fitness could hardly have come at a better time for Ten Hag. With neither Jadon Sancho or Antony available for selection on Saturday, Mount's versatility makes him the perfect option to occupy the wide right attacking berth.

On the other flank, Marcus Rashford will be looking to add to the solitary goal he plundered earlier this term against Arsenal. He, too, should be fresh after being rested in midweek.

United's marquee summer signing Rasmus Hojlund will come straight back in to lead the line for Ten Hag's men. The Denmark international will be bidding to get off the mark in the Premier League after opening his goalscoring account for United in the Champions League loss at Bayern Munich.

Predicted Man Utd XI (4-2-3-1): Onana; Dalot, Varane, Lindelof, Amrabat; Casemiro, Hannibal; Fernandes, Mount, Rashford; Hojlund
