Many women dream of their wedding day their whole lives, and often picture themselves in a gorgeous gown as they mingle with their guests in a very classy manor. The bride might have a drink or two, but they want to remember the night forever, so they don't want to go overboard.

In reality, this doesn't always go to plan. Weddings are often quite boozy events, and when you're celebrating the happiest day of your life, it's easy to get carried way. A bride has now shared a hilarious selfie from the morning after her wedding - and it couldn't be more relatable.

Jade McBride, 32, married her partner Michael, 34, in a stunning ceremony at the Busby Hotel in Glasgow, Scotland, last weekend. But after partying the night away with her loved ones, the mum-of-five was left feeling worse for wear the next day.

The day after a wedding, it's not unheard of to share a few pictures of the bride and groom looking stunning and dressed up to the nines in their outfits, which they spent months, or even years planning. But instead, the hungover newlywed decided to share the unfiltered reality behind the morning after tying the knot.

In a picture which was posted in a Facebook group, Jade decided to take a mirror selfie when she woke up. The blushing bride can be seen with smudged make-up, wedding earrings and up-do mostly intact. She captioned the picture: "Big shout out to all the gals who got married yesterday hope ya'll are as f***d as me today xo."

Speaking to the Daily Record, Jade said: "I posted the picture just for a laugh as I'm not a serious person at all and I just found it funny!" She added: "I looked good before I looked sh***."

Jade's post was liked by almost 900 people, and other brides applauded her while sharing their own stories. One bride wrote: "Omg hilarious but true. We should start something like those perfect first day at school pics versus end of the day pics. Wedding day pics after hair and make up etc versus dragged through a hedge next day pics."

Another added: "Married on Saturday and currently unable to talk at all," and a third commented: "Congratulations, that what I look like last year after our wedding xx".
