Kane skips Spurs' first Arsenal clash since leaving to neck beers at Oktoberfest
Harry Kane opted to stay busy as Tottenham played out their first North London Derby vs Arsenal since his emotional exit.
Spurs' record scorer left during the summer window, ending his long association with his boyhood club to join Bayern Munich. He's hit the ground running in Bavaria as well, scoring eight times in his first seven games with the German champions.
He's also coming off the back of his first hat-trick for his new employers, netting a treble - and registering two assists - during their 7-0 demolition of Bochum on Saturday night. Clearly enjoying life on the pitch, the England captain decided to sample some of Germany's traditions off it, pictured drinking beers at an Oktoberfest beer festival in Munich.
Kane was enjoying a significantly more relaxed Sunday than his former team-mates, as they prepared to start a game against their closest rivals without the striker for the first time in 17 meetings. The 30-year-old enjoyed a stunning record against the Gunners, scoring 14 times in 17 Premier League appearances - with no other player scoring more goals in the fixture.
This week, Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy confirmed they included a clause in the deal which sent him to Bayern that allows them to match any offer a Premier League club makes for him in the future. And on Kane's part, he has refused to rule out returning in the future and insisted he is keeping a close eye on their fortunes.

Going into the game at the Emirates, Spurs were unbeaten in five Premier League matches, dropping just two points under new manager Ange Postecoglou. And Kane said he was delighted his old fans were enjoying such a positive start to the new season.
“In terms of Tottenham, yeah fantastic start,” he told reporters in midweek. “I’m always keeping an eye on them. I think I’ll always keep an eye on Tottenham for the rest of my life.

I’m sure they’ll be excited to keep that up. They have a massive game coming up so yeah for sure, I’ll see how they get on over the course of the season.”
In the video which confirmed his Tottenham exit, Kane said: “It's not a goodbye because you never know how things pan out in the future." And Levy has opened up on some of the details of the clause which could bring him back in the future.
Speaking to Bloomberg, he said: “If I’m honest, I think you know, the actual precise detail of the contract with Bayern Munich should remain confidential. All I would say is if Harry one day wants to come back to the Premier League and he wants to come to Tottenham, we would have the ability to purchase him.”
