Completing optical illusions is a great way to give your grey matter a bit of a workout and can help to sharpen your cognitive and observation skills if done regularly. Such puzzles can also be quite fun once you've got the hang of them, even if it takes you a while to get into the swing of things.

Now one brainteaser is proving to be a real head-scratcher, challenging puzzle lovers to pick out the lone puppy amid a park filled with dogs of all shapes and sizes. As adorable as the scene may be, this one is a real toughie.

Did you manage to spot the little pup? Don't worry if not, as this puzzle, which was originally shared by Jagran Josh, is far harder than it first appears to be, especially given the vast number and variety of pooches in the picture. If you managed to clock it in 11 seconds or less then bravo, you most likely have a genius-level intellect.

If you're still struggling, then maybe go back and have another attempt, dividing the picture up into sections in your mind's eye. Don't let the varying sizes of the canines fool you either, remember, you're looking for a puppy, not a small dog. Scanning each part in turn, try and pick out details that are different from the rest of the image.

The answer seems so very obvious once you spot it, even though it's anything but. As you can see, the tiny puppy is a very similar sandy shade to the path, making it quite tricky to see at first glance. Once you get used to examining the finer details of a puzzle, however, this sort of head-scratcher will likely come naturally to you.
