Sophie Turner finds 'solace' in those who have 'gone through similar experience'

Sophie Turner has found "solace" in those who have "gone through a similar experience" amid her recent divorce from her estranged husband Joe Jonas.

Joe officially filed for divorce last week, stating the couple's marriage was "irretrievably broken". As fans were left reeling, the former couple then shared a joint statement on social media saying the break-up was a mutual decision, adding they had ended things amicably.

Posting the statement on Instagram, they said: "After four wonderful years of marriage we have mutually agreed to amicably end our marriage. There are many speculative narratives as to why but, truly this is a united decision and we sincerely hope everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and our children."

Amid their split, Sophie has been spotted on two dinner dates with Joe ex-girlfriend and pop star, Taylor Swift. The unlikely duo shocked fans after they were seen arm in arm earlier this week as they headed to an Italian restaurant Via Carota for dinner, before moving on for some drinks.

They seemed to be in good spirits as they made their way through a crowded street. Two evenings later they were spotted outside the luxury Hotel Barriere Fouquet, where they apparently met for dinner again. Taylor had also dated Joe from July 2008 until their split in October of that year.

Relationship expert and co-founder of So Syncd, Louella Alderson tells us that Taylor is most likely playing a "crucial role in helping Sophie navigate the challenging emotional terrain of a breakup."
